Episode 200 (Soldier)

The MFF podcast is back for the 200th time! In honor of our 200th episode we're talking about Soldier, the 1998 Blade Runner-sidequel directed by Paul W.S. Anderson (listen to our Resident Evil podcast episodes now), that featured Kurt Russell beating many people up. What we love about Soldier is how it tells the story of an outdated soldier defeating upgraded soldiers — who don't realize they are fighting Kurt Russell. In this episode, you will hear us talk about homemade scarves, broken ankles and chain fights. If you are a fan of Soldier, you will love this episode.

Episode 199 (So I Married An Axe Murderer)

The MFF podcast is back, and this week we're talking about the 1993 cult classic So I Married an Axe Murderer. The Mike Myer's starrring movie underperformed at the box office, but has since built a loyal audience who quote the movie frequently (Heed! Pants! Now!) and love extremely large cappuccinos. In this podcast, you will hear us talk about Froot Loops, Scottish accents and cinematographers who never walk. If you are a fan of So I Married an Axe Murderer, you will love this episode.

Episode 198 (Judge Dredd and Dredd)

The MFF podcast is back, and this week we're talking about Judge Dredd (1995) and Dredd (2012). These two movies about the same character couldn't be more different, and we love that. Both movies had behind the scenes issues, and the end results were either fantastic or uneven (guess which is which). However, they are both entertaining in their own way and if they were combined, would make for a fun Dredd movie. In this podcast, you will hear us talk about flying cars, Armand Assante's line delivery, and the training regime of rookie Judges. If you are a fan of Dredd, you will love this episode.

Episode 197 (Ticks)

The MFF podcast is back, and this week we're talking about the incredibly obscure 1993 horror film Ticks. If you are a fan of squishy sound effects, deadly arachnids and practical special effects you will love this episode. In this episode, you will hear us talk about evil marijuana dealers, giant bugs, and the effects of steroids on ticks. We had a great time talking about this movie because it's an unknown gem that is light on story, but heavy on juicy practical monsters created by legends Greg Nicotero, Robert Kurtzman and Howard Berger.

In this podcast, you will hear us talk about illegal pot dealing, whiskey drinking, wakeboarding and Jason's archery skills. If you are a fan of the Friday the 13th franchise, you will love this episode.

Episode 195 (Youngblood)

The MFF podcast is back, and this week we're talking about Youngblood, a 1986 hocky film starring Rob Lowe and Patrick Swayze. This R-rated hockey flick is a mixture of Rocky, Star Wars and Slapshot, as it features a mixture of fighting, farming and more fighting. In this episode, you will hear us talk about hockey fights, Keanu Reeves, and the negatives of eating pancakes for dinner. If you are a fan of obscure cult classics taht focus on hockey, you will love this episode.

Episode 194 (Sleepy Hollow)

The MFF podcast is back, and this week we're talking about 1999's Sleep Hollow, the Tim Burton directed movie that is beautiful to look at. The movie still looks amazing 20 years later, and it totally deserved the Oscar win for its wonderful art and set direction. Throw in the Colleen Atwood costume design, and Emmanuel Lubezki cinematrography, and you have one of the best looking movies of the last 20 years. In this episode, you will hear us talk about tubes of death, pumpkin throwing and people looking great in wigs. If you are a fan of Sleepy Hollow, you will love this episode.

Episode 193 (Airborne)

The MFF podcast is back, and this week we're talking about the 1993 rollerblading (and hockey) movie Airborne. Many of you might slightly remember Airborne because it features Jack Black and Seth Green rollerblading down a massive hill called "The Devil's Backbone" during the epic finale. The final race is pretty great, whereas the rest of the movie does its best to get to the race as quickly as possible. In this podcast, you will hear us talking about Alita: Battle Angel, big moogombas, and spaghetti chili. If you are a fan of Airborne, you will love this episode.

Episode 192 (Avengers: Endgame)

The MFF podcast is back, and this week we're talking about the 2019 mega-blockbuster Avengers: Endgame. We love how the Russo Brothers did a fantastic job tying together 11 years and 22 films worth of Marvel shenanigans into one massively emotional package. We had a great time getting into all the spoilers and easter eggs featured in this three-hour epic. In this podcast, you will hear us talk about peanut butter sandwiches, tacos, beef jerky, beer, pizza, cheeseburgers and ice cream (food plays a major part in Endgame). If you are a fan of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and food discussions, you will love this episode.

Episode 191 (Jumper)

The MFF podcast is back, and this week we're talking about the 2008 superhero movie Jumper. The movie made $222 million worldwide, but was hated by critics who didn't like director Doug Liman's take on the superhero genre. We are big fans of the movie, and appreciate how Liman dragged the production to seven countries in an attempt to make the world feel real by going to actual locations in Italy, Japan and Egypt. In this podcast, you will hear us talk about jump faces, bank robberies and the best Samuel L. Jackson villain roles. If you are a fan of Jumper, you will love this episode.
