Cold Case Friday: The Murder of Rachael Runyan
Rachael Runyan is another little girl that came face to face with evil and didn’t survive. It’s cases like Rachael’s that make many parents afraid to let their children out of their sight, even if just to play in their yard. On August 26th, 1982 three-year-old Rachael Runyan played outside of her house only about 15 feet away while Rachael’s mother Elaine prepared lunch. Rachael, along with her two older brothers were lucky enough to live right next to a school and playground in the town of Sunset, Utah. The Runyan children took advantage of the location, and enjoyed themselves before dinner. It wasn’t long before a man approached the group of kids and began offering them ice cream and bubble gum. The man was able to gain Rachael’s trust and without warning, grabbed the innocent three-year-old and threw her into his car before speeding away.

Shit Out of Luck: Billy Chemirmir
For years, an alleged serial killer stalked the elderly women of Dallas, Texas. Forty-eight-year-old Billy Chemirmir is accused of murdering a shocking number of seniors, each crime marked by the same sickening M.O.
Chemirmir allegedly targeted these vulnerable women, smothered them in their beds with a pillow, and would then steal and hock their jewelry. The killings began in 2016 and, shockingly, many took place in senior living facilities where family members had taken for granted that their loved ones would be safe.
Despite the fact that Chemirmir, allegedly already three murders into his spree, was arrested in June of 2016 for trespassing at one such senior facility, the deaths continued, reports Dallas's NBC affiliate. Disturbing as the murder of any vulnerable person is, Chemirmir's alleged grisly total could have been much higher, had one of his last victims not survived the attack and spoken out.

Shit Out of Luck: How The Baton Rouge Killer Was Caught
Known as the Baton Rouge killer, Derrick Todd Lee is thought to have killed at least seven women between 1998 and 2003 (via Murderpedia). Per CNN, those who knew the Louisiana native described him as an attractive and pleasant man. Even so, Lee did have a criminal record, which included burglary, peeping tom incidents, and stalking. Oxygen writes that police long-suspected that he had killed Connie Warner, a woman from Zachary, Louisiana, in 1992. That being said, there was never any evidence to tie Lee to the crime scene.

Murder Monday: Colts Neck Mansion Murders
In Colts Neck, New Jersey, one night there were two fires. Both, interestingly, at two brother's houses, Paul and Keith Caneiro. They had been in business together for a long time, but going through the rubble led to extremely suspicious behaviour, and a despicable crime.

Cold Case Friday: The Murder of Ken Rex McElroy
The murder of Ken Rex McElroy isn’t ‘unsolved’ in the typical sense of the word. It wasn’t the kind of murder which goes unsolved for decades and eventually someone comes forward with the tip that breaks the case open. This is far from what happened in the case of McElroy. In fact, anywhere between thirty and ninety people witnessed the shooting of the 270lb brute of a man on that hot July day in 1981. But not one person has come forward. A pact of silence was made between the witnesses.

Murder Monday: The Longo Family Murder
At first glance, Christian Longo appeared to be an attractive and charming family man. Friends, family, and the entire nation was stunned when he turned out to be a cold-blooded killer. In the late 1990s, Christian Longo’s life with his wife Mary Jane and three children Zachary, Sadie, and Madison seemed perfect from the outside. However, just a few days before Christmas in 2001, this picture-perfect family was destroyed.
On December 19, 2001, the body of 4-year-old Zachary Longo was found floating in a marina in Waldport, Oregon. Shortly after, Sadie Longo’s body was also discovered. The nation’s worst fears came true when eight days later, the bodies and remains of Mary Jane and Madison Longo were found stuffed in suitcases floating near the Longo’s apartment in Yaquina Bay. After each body was discovered, investigators placed the only missing member of the family, Christian Longo, on the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted list. Longo was on the run, nowhere to be found and the FBI continued to investigate why a seemingly perfect husband had murdered his entire family.

Macon, Georgia. June 26, 2011. Lauren Giddings had just completed her law degree at Mercer University in Macon, Georgia. Also seemingly very concerned about Lauren's whereabouts was her neighbor and fellow law graduate, Stephen McDaniel.
