I spoke with Colleen about how her life was changed when her daughter Lauren was hit by a car and suffered severe brain damage. Colleen doesn't believe everything happens for a reason. Rose Thornton- Her Near Death Experience and Incredible After Effects
For 20 years, Rose Thornton enjoyed a national reputation as an expert on old houses. The author of ten books, Rose has been featured on everything from PBS’ “History Detectives” to BBC Radio. In 2016, her husband died by suicide. Two years later, Rose was diagnosed with a life-threatening illness.After a “routine” medical procedure, Rose bled to death. In heaven, she was told that if she agreed to return to earth, she’d be restored to wholeness. Subsequently, medical tests affirmed that not only had the disease disappeared, but she was also healed of the crippling grief. Rose got a literal reset on her life after her "death".This is my second interview with Rose. She does a wonderful job of telling her story. Her book is now available. Marla Hughes- Spirituality, Consciousness, and the Incredible Wisdom of Children
Marla Hughes has worked with children her entire life in a number of different capacities. At the transplant unit of UCSF Hospital in San Francisco she taught children about exercise, nutrition and relaxation. She worked with Dr. Gerald Jampolsky at the Center for Attitudinal Healing, using art and music therapy to help young children who had life threatening diseases or who had a parent or loved one who was severely ill. Her podcast, Interviews with Innocence (interviewswithinnocence.com), features experts in the fields of science and metaphysics who focus on children and spirituality. Marla is the founder of the Ethiopian Family Fund (ethiopianfamilyfund.org), a nonprofit dedicated to developing sustainable education and healthcare for Ethiopian children and their families. According to Marla, “My greatest teachers have been my children. I Feel Sad Today. And That's OK.
Today's offering is on the 22nd birthday of my daughter Shayna who passed away in 2015. This is the seventh birthday without Shayna here with us. The birthdays of someone who has passed are bittersweet. Birthdays are not only a time to celebrate someone coming into our lives, we celebrate the fact they have made another trip around the sun. This makes no sense. Why would anyone choose to be less than 100% happy all the time, if given the choice? Natalie Sudman's NDE has also prompted a lot of discussion about Natalie choosing to come back to Earth with serious injuries.There are reasons.
