Stephanie Howe | Looking Back & Moving Forward
Stephanie Howe has been a top ultrarunner for a decade. She's achieved great things in the sport including winning one of the world's most important races, the Western States 100 Mile Endurance Run, which she did in 2014. While she's been on the top for a long time, Stephanie has also been through some tough challenges both in her personal and athletic life. Last year, 2019, was a particular tough year for her as she went through both a surgery and a divorce and all the psychological and emotional pain that came as a result. We talk a lot about what she learned from such a shitty year and how she feels she's emerged a better and stronger version of herself. Stephanie recently announced that she's expecting a baby boy in 2021, so we also spend a lot of time discussing motherhood and how it will relate to her future as an athlete. This one is full of good vibes. Tom Evans | Basics Done Well
Tom Evans is a British ultrarunner who has made a very quick and impressive mark on the sport in the last few years. Without a background in running, Tom found trail and ultrarunning while serving in the British military when he signed up for the Marathon des Sables on a drunken whim. Incredibly, he finished third, launching him on his amazing career trajectory. Recently, Tom ran a 1:03 half marathon, showing his range and talent in shorter races as well. I hope this conversation gives you all a glimpse into the mind of one of the world's best and someone who represents the future of professional trail and ultrarunning. Joey Campanelli | Nolan's 14 FKT Holder
