MBA864 The Tough Thing About Tough Decisions

There are tough decisions, and then there are tough decisions. In business, difficult choices are almost run-of-the-mill. They have to be made every day by someone who can handle the mantle of responsibility. But every once in a while, the entrepreneur is faced with the kind of decision that’s far tougher. It’s worse than simply having to choose the best option— it’s having to choose the least horrible one! What’s tough isn’t just deciding which way to go; it’s having to decide at all. We were faced with a decision like that recently regarding our software company, WebinarNinja. Choosing the lesser of two evils was no walk in the park. In fact, I wasn’t sure if I actually wanted to share it publicly on the show! In the end, this podcast is about helping our listeners learn from our experience. As tough as this decision was, it taught us something— and we think it can teach you something too. MBA861 A Marketing Strategy That Works & How To Do It

If there’s one topic our listeners want to know more about, it’s marketing. You could have the best product in the world, but without marketing, you don’t have a business. In fact, the ideal marketing strategy is in place before the product is! That’s the lesson we’re teaching in today’s deep-dive tutorial: our proven marketing strategy for any business. If it sounds too good to be true…it’s not! This strategy takes work and some outside-the-box thinking to be effective. Our marketing strategy is based on what comes from the customer, not the business. It’s reactive. It’s engaged. It requires putting the time and effort into building a genuine relationship with your audience. The insight you gain from that goes into the product. The trust you earn goes into your branding. The result is a personalized, responsive kind of marketing that creates long-term loyalty, not just individual sales. If you’re ready to revamp your marketing approach, click play!SUBSCRIBE ON APPLE PODCASTSSpotify| Podcast Feed| How To SubscribeGive us a Rating & ReviewShow LinksSpotifySurveyGizmoThe post MBA861 A Marketing Strategy That Works & How To Do It appeared first on The $100 MBA. MBA858 Are You A Good Enough Leader?

To succeed, a business needs competent leadership. But what makes a great leader? Is it drive? Is it the confidence to bear authority? Or is leadership about more than just ambition? Today we discuss 8 key personal characteristics that define great leadership, from confidence to emotional intelligence. As our own software company, WebinarNinja, grows, we’ve found that leadership is more important than ever.Leadership is about far, far more than power. It’s about open-mindedness, empathy, and the ability to inspire productivity rather than demand it. We believe leadership is a matter of learned behavior— behavior that can be consciously nurtured. We believe leadership is a choice that every entrepreneur can make, not an inborn trait that entitles someone to authority. And we believe that if you can develop the personality traits discussed here, you can lead your business anywhere.
