How Chick-fil-A Became an Iconic Brand (w/ Steve Robinson, Chick-fil-A’s Chief Marketing Officer from 1981 – 2015)

On this episode, we're joined by Steve Robinson. Steve was the Chief Marketing Officer of Chick-fil-A from 1981 - 2015. Think about how Chickfila has grown during that time. Chickfila makes more money per restaurant than McDonald's, Starbucks and Subway combined. "Eat mor chikin", cows, setting up free-standing stores outside of shopping malls, breakfast, fresh cut flowers on the tables, all the sauces, all the new menu items, Chickfila Peach Bowl, the fastest drive thrus on the planet...  In his book, Covert Cows: How faith, Cows and Chicken Built an Iconic Brand, Steve details how he and the Chick-fil-A leadership team intentionally curated by Truett Cathy kept their Christian faith at the core of the business, staying true to Proverbs 22:1: "A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches; loving favor rather than silver and gold."
