Reverend Janglebones is an animist practitioner, prayer writer, course facilitator, Buddhist dabbler, recovered addict, podcast host, musician, and accidental Diogenes channeler. Kurt is a New York times bestselling illustrator who has worked in comics, films, and television. A long time spelunker of the imagination and believer that all creative acts are acts of magic he does his best to stumble into profundity as a co-host of the soapbox podcast. The brilliant Sasha Ravitch is back on the Spirit Box!  Sasha is a practitioner of Stellar Witchcraft, passionate Astrolater, and Devotional and Oracular Writer. She seeks out meaning, magic, patterns, connection, and intimate co-creation betwixt the Self and the Other in every golden meadow, ocean floor, and subway station available to her. Today we welcome back the one and only Peter Mark Adams! In his new book Hagia Sophia / Sanctum of Kronos, he presents a remarkable study of the esoteric beliefs and spiritual traditions contained within the architectural and decorative features of Istanbul’s iconic Hagia Sophia. For episode 6, season 2 we welcome podcast host, folklorist, researcher and Lover of all things wyrd Jo Hickey-Hall. Jo is the researcher behind The ‘Modern Fairy Sightings‘ Project which collects and preserves contemporary experiences and explores the resistant cultural taboo surrounding disclosure. It also provides a community for people to share their experiences with others who have experienced similar. She is also the host and creator of The Modern Fairy Sightings Podcast which was launched in 2020 and features fairy encounters told first hand. Jo goes through the incredible healing experience she had which lay the foundations for the sequence of events that would lead to the creation of the Modern Fairy Sightings Podcast and how diamonic activity seemed to be directly involved in the project. Pulling that thread we discuss how we, like many others, started a podcast on the subject of entities and spirits around the same time and how this seemed to be a compulsion. Today we are joined by Scottish witch Lucken Hare. Lucken is a traditional witch and has a relationship with The Dark Man. In the show we go through how that came about for Lucken, what the experience was like, and how it changed him.   Lucken takes us through his experiences with what he terms his ‘fetch’. This is is a form of possession during which he experiences an animal consciousness, a form of shapeshifting. For episode #3 of season 2 we are joined by magician and body training expert Emmet Louis. Emmet has spent a long time meandering through various systems of Western esotericism. A chance encounter with the system of G.I Gurdjieff radically altered his life and set him on his current path,  His work currently is focused on the combination of body training with an emphasis on its interaction with spirit work and energy mechanics. For episode #2 of season 2 we are joined by author and journalist Mike Magee. Mike Magee is a well-known name to lovers and practitioners of Tantra to whom he has offered for decades the essential, condensed contents of many Tantras of the medieval period. This book is a fruit of his maturity and vast experience. Containing reliable translations and many Kālī Vidyàs, it is a valuable manual for practitioners and an important source for scholars. Magee has written since the 1960s on matters related to occult and esoteric religions. In 1971 he started a small occult magazine called Azoth, and in 1973 in conjunction with David Hall, and his girlfriend Janet Bailey, started a more ambitious six monthly magazine called SOTHiS. In 1978, he went to India and met with an English tantrik guru (and former student of Aleister Crowley) called HH Shri Gurudev Mahendranath (1911–1992) who was a guru of the Uttarakaula Tantric Order of northern India. Mahendranath gave him the title of a guru and a charter to form a group of students. Magee took the tantrik name of Lokanath. Later this was to become a nucleus for the "Arcane Magical Order of the Knights of Shambhala" (AMOOKOS). This group was highly influential, particularly in the way it brought Tantrik teachings to the West. Kali Magic brings together Mike Magee’s decades of experience in translating and elucidating tantrik texts. The first section—Sadhana—explores the ritual worship of Kali through mantra, her various aspects, and her yantras. The second section—Tantras—includes new English translations of the Matrkabheda, Todala, and Yoni tantras, plus two Kali Upaniṣads and abstracts of ten tantras related to the worship of the goddess. With a comprehensive bibliography and glossary of key terms, Kali Magic will be of great value to devotees and scholars of the goddess alike. Alkistis is an artist, dancer-choreographer and writer exploring the occulted dimensions of the carnal body and its subtle anatomy. Her art and praxis is grounded in ankoku butô (dark dance), which she has practised since 2002. With Peter Grey, Alkistis is the co-founder of Scarlet Imprint, the leading independent press which publishes practitioner-oriented works on magic, esotericism and the occult. She has performed in the UK, Europe and the United States, solo and in collaboration with musicians and artists and spoken on her practice and given workshops at conferences and events in the UK, Europe and the United States. In the show Alkistis explains Butô as a form of expression and goes through what it means to her in terms of the unfolding of consciousness in movement. She goes on to discuss the body in as a vehicle for mantic vision and magic. Alkistis also gives her thoughts on the witches dance. In the Plus show we discuss the dangers of digital immersion of the self and how unplugging from digital is liberating and important for ones wellbeing.
