Conditioning Your Puppy To Grooming And Handling
Teaching our dogs to accept being handled is such an important thing for them to learn. It makes going to the vet or groomer a simple task rather than a stressful fight. We use the exact same marker concepts to check the dog's teeth, look in his ears, grab his collar and brush him. We break the task into small parts and mark/reward each step along the way. In the short video below you will watch Cindy handle Meru using markers. This only needs to take a couple of minutes every day for the dog to accept being handled. This is something we will do for many months. | Links mentioned: KLIMB Dog Training Platform & Agility System: https://leerburg.com/klimbtable.php | Your Puppy 8 Weeks to 12 Months https://university.leerburg.com/Course/courseHome/courseid/91
