At present, I mean to speak to you principally on the meaning of the word, 'castaway'. At some previous times I have spoken to you on the subject of an eternal hell — on the worm that never dies, and the fire that is never quenched; but there is one part of the subject I have passed over, namely, the mental agonies of hell, and that is a castaway. The word 'castaway' is supposed to be taken from workers of metals; you know there is a part of the metal which comes out of the furnace which is called dross, which is of no manner of use and is cast away. The same word is sometimes translated 'reprobate'. Those of you in this congregation who will be cast away will be found to be but dross, 'reprobate silver shall men call them' (Jeremiah 6:30)

Jim Cymbala gives a wonderful message on the Gibeonites. He clearly shows that Satan wants to deceive us and he warns against false prophets. Satan uses masks to disguise true intentions. Let's be vigilant, walk close to God and read His word. A powerful word that will set us free and encourage us to walk in victory with our Lord.

We are in desperate need of genuine leadership-broken, humble men-men who are not afraid to admit that they need God; men who are more worried about prayer than about status and recognition; men who petition God rather than position themselves. The state of the family today is disheartening. Men have largely forsaken their God-given role as spiritual leaders in their homes…that, no one can deny.

Out of the 8th Chapter of Amos, Wilkerson preaches a prophetic message for the Church today. This is not a famine of bread or a thirst for water but is a famine from the Word of the Lord. He speaks of shepherds who do not preach on sin and just preach messages to comfort people in their sins. Asked why he was used of the Lord so greatly in China, Hudson Taylor replied, 'God had looked long for a man weak enough, and He found me.' He takes the weak things of the world to confound the mighty. Spiritual wisdom does not come with years; neither does maturity. The key to both is obedience. Whatsoever He saith unto YOU, do it.

Being the Bride of Christ has everything to do with one’s identification with the One who is “acquainted with sorrows,” and it is through being joined with Him in the fellowship of His sufferings that we are fitted for our bridal role.

"You can never have the fruit until the blossom is gone, and it takes terrible winds to get rid of the blossom in order to bring on the fruit." If you are in struggles or trials and feel things are not going the way you want them to go. Take the time to listen to this. It is only 22 minutes long delivered by Sparks in 1955, but it is of eternal value for them that has ears to hear. Heb 12:6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.

On the heels of writing and sharing, 'When Evil Comes in Like a Flood' which addressed the rise of evil in our nation, and the response needed by the church, this word comes forth. It will be revealed in eternity of how many times God warned us, gave us wake up calls, for what was coming, but we missed the warning signals. I believe our nation, and particularly the church is at this cross road now. God has sent alarming signs to us to show us the path we are on and what is coming. And unless a proper response is done by the church, we will go down in the history books as, 'having eyes to see, but could not see; having ears to hear, but could not hear'. Brethren I beseech you take notice of these words and let us respond now, while there is still time, before the 'night cometh when no man can work'.
