Tom Davidoff is the Director for the University of British Columbia (UBC) Centre for Urban Economics and Real Estates at the Sauder School of Business. He obtained his BA in Social Studies from Harvard College, his MPA/URP from Princeton University, and his PhD in Economics and Urban Studies from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He is largely credited as the architect of British Columbia’s Speculation and Vacancy Tax.

Brad West is the Mayor of Port Coquitlam, British Columbia. He returns to the podcast after his appearance on Episode 30.

Carrie Walder, MS, RD of Walder Wellness is a Registered Dietitian (RD) in both Canada and the United States. Katie-Ellen Humphries is a nationally touring stand-up comedian, writer, and performer. She is a frequent contributor to CBC’s “The Debaters”. She has also graced the cover of The Georgia Straight as one of the creators of The Lady Show, a regular variety show in Vancouver performed by a troupe of comedic lady talents, which has also been featured in the Vancouver Fringe Festival. Her debut comedy album (tentatively titled “Lady Finger”) is set for a February 2020 release. Ivan Decker is a Juno Award-winning comedian. This year, he made his Netflix debut on “COMEDIANS of the World”. He has been featured on TBS’ Conan and regularly appears on CBC’s The Debaters. His podcast “Satan’s Lawyer” with Andrey Summers and his award-winning comedy album “I Wanted to be a Dinosaur” are available on all major streaming platforms including iTunes and Spotify.

David Eby, Q.C. is the Minister of Justice and the Attorney General of British Columbia. He is also responsible for gambling policy, liquor policy, and the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (ICBC). As a member of the BC NDP, he represents the riding of Vancouver-Point Grey, where he was first elected as a Member of the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia by defeating then-Premier Christy Clark.

Jesse Miller is a national speaker and educator on the subject of social media. Max Fawcett is a freelance writer and the former editor of Alberta Oil magazine and Vancouver Magazine. He’s written for The Globe & Mail, The Walrus, The Tyee, and other publications. He previously worked in Alberta’s Climate Change office. He obtained his BA from the University of British Columbia and his MA from Carleton University, both in political science.

Kyla Lee is a criminal lawyer with expertise in impaired driving and immediate roadside prohibition for Acumen Law Corporation. She is renowned for her knowledge of the immediate roadside prohibition (IRP) scheme. In 2014, she was the first lawyer to explain the deficiencies of the IRP scheme to the judges at the Supreme Court. She obtained her law degree at the University of British Columbia. Currently, she is a member of the Trial Lawyers Association of BC, the Canadian Bar Association, and the founder of the Canadian Impaired Driving Lawyers Association. Kyla was named one of Canadian Lawyer Magazine’s Top 25 Most Influential Lawyers in Canada. She’s appeared on GlobalBC, The Lynda Steele Show, CBC News, CTV, and a variety of other outlets seeking her criminal law expertise. She also used to be a model!
