Continuing through the book of Philippians, Dr. Michael Easley preaches on chapter 3, verses 17-21. Paul encourages believers to follow his example as one who lives for Christ. Reminding believers to follow godly examples and be a godly example to others, Paul warns of those who walk as enemies of Christ. And as his final reminder, Paul reminds the believers to live with their heavenly citizenship in mind; live as though you want to see Jesus' face.

Wayne Wolf preaches from Acts 2:42-47. The fear of the Lord starts the process of obtaining wisdom. How does the believer gain wisdom? Using the example of the apostles, Wayne lays out how believers can gain Godly wisdom through devotion to God's Word, fellowship with other believers, the breaking of bread, and a posture of prayer. 

Dr. Michael Easley continues his exegesis of Philippians with chapter 3 verses 12-16. The call to Christian liberty gives us freedom to obey Christ and live without guilt or shame. As we work out our salvation with fear and trembling, we must remember that we are not working for our salvation. Christ has accomplished it all through his death on the cross, and now we are sanctified day by day to become more like Him.

Preaching from Philippians 3:10-11, Dr. Michael Easley asserts that to know Christ well, we must: 1. embrace that we are powerless and he is eternally powerful 2. understand that we will suffer 3. be conformed to his death 4. which results in the resurrection from the dead.

Dr. Michael Easley preaches on one of the most well-known passages in all Scripture - John 3:16. Desiring that all men would be saved, God sent his Son Jesus not to judge but to offer eternal life. God's love is universal in character, sacrificial in nature, and eternal in purpose.

Dr. Easley continues in his Advent series Lessons and Carols with a sermon on the incredible gift Mary was given, and the joy she found because God chose her. If the Bible is true, then the message of Jesus is cause for great joy. God's forgiveness of our sins over and over again is cause for great joy!

With the birth of Jesus, the New Testament sees the fulfillment of all the promises of the Old Testament writers, of which even the religious powers of Jesus’ day understood: Messiah would be born in Bethlehem.
