The American Mind
The American Mind Podcast uncovers the ideas and principles that drive American political life. In each episode, we engage Claremont Institute scholars, co-conspirators, and critics in thought-provoking discussions about the real causes of our current political and cultural reality. We explore these ideas with an eye towards restoring American civic health.
The Roundtable is a weekly show, hosted by our editors and publisher with a unique blend of joviality and intellectually stimulating conversation, boosted by an occasional glass of whisky. Each episode focuses on a handful of topics that carry significant weight in the debate of ideas for the best path of American life, both privately and civically. Of course, we do reserve some time for fun in each show.
Occasionally, we produce special podcast features on individual topics with commentary from the top thinkers in America today. Think of American Mind Podcast specials as succinct audio-documentaries.

The Coup | The Roundtable Ep. 35
America is under attack by BLM and Antifa authoritarians, backed by Democrats, who decided to mount a blitz against America’s governing institutions. Meanwhile, propagandistic drivel from the media machine trying to silence conservatives is so bad it’s actually funny. Our editors unmask the issues, and subject queer theory to the mockery it so richly deserves.

The Coming Coup. | The Roundtable Ep. 35 Segment 1
Have you listened recently to what the Left is telling you? It should unsettle you. Democrats are actively trying to subvert the very core institutions that have formed the bedrock of America itself. Why? Because BLM and Antifa authoritarians thought now was their time to seize the reins of power forcefully and violently. The Democrats have hitched to their wagon to that insurrection—they must not be allowed to succeed.

Leo Strauss and Queer Theory | The Roundtable Ep. 35 Segment 3
Leo Strauss was a great man and a great political philosopher. That is why the American Political Science Association made an award in his name to be distributed for exemplary dissertations each year. To nobody’s surprise, APSA is spitting on Strauss’ legacy by handing out the award to whatever woksester writes the best ethnography. Our editors ponder the implications of this grimly funny development.

Mind Control, 93% Effective! | The Roundtable Ep. 34
Your eyes do not deceive you. Violent rioting has gripped the streets of American cities; more and more homeless are pouring out onto the sidewalks; and we have entered the era of rule by Karen. Turn on your TV, though, and you’ll be told none of this is happening because…Orange Man Bad! Our editors cut through the lies to get at what’s really going on.

Your Lyin’ Eyes | The Roundtable Ep. 34 Segment 1
“Experts” in and out of government thought they had perfected data manipulation in 2016, and since then they’ve refused to adapt even as their methods have continued to fail. Hypocritical Hollywood | The Roundtable Ep. 34 Segment 2
In its latest act of self-immolation, the Academy is demanding that films live up to racial and gender quotas to be considered for an Oscar. This won’t save Hollywood from its slow, fiery death, of course. Our editors discuss the future of art, and where true storytelling will go to escape the woke hoard.

Critical Race Theory | The Roundtable Ep. 34 Segment 3
Critical race theory has gotten its claws into the American bureaucracy. Trainings are held covertly to teach you that you are a horrible person and must cede all authority to someone else who is more of a victim than you are. It must be stopped--our editors discuss how.

Unmasking Leftist Hypocrisy | The Roundtable Ep. 33
America is in trouble. Our corrupt academy has been working for years to churn out obedient lemmings who swallow the talking points of their increasingly brazen and nakedly hypocritical elite masters--Looking at you, Pelosi. Worse still are the rioters, who are actively trying to violently overthrow the American regime. At least Trump’s visit to Kenosha reveals that not everyone is drowning in Kool-Aid.
