Oral arguments in the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization supreme court case took place last week. We sort of care. We’re interested to see what positions the culture is forcing the court to adopt, and we’re interested in the outcome because it affects the next steps in the abortion battle. But in a sense, we don’t care. The Biblical and powerful way to fight abortion does not in any way rely on the supreme court’s opinions. Haas, brought the Southern Baptist Resolution on Abolishing Abortion to the Southern Baptists of Texas Convention in Flint, TX on November 8th and 9th. Unlike in OK, SC, UT, ID, and AR, Texas Southern Bapitsts voted down the resolution, and instead passed a resolution celebrating the heartbeat bill. Joined by J.R., we respond to the testimonies given by incrementalists, especially focusing on Bart Barber's absurd war analogy and Nathan Lino's accusation that God's word is too mean.
