The Hammerbarn Project

Aaaaand yes! With a quick upload they've done it - a well made 50 on debut. Though there were some question marks heading into this innings, Hammerbarn shall not be denied! In celebration of the milestone, the lads go to where it all began - that's right, we record ON LOCATION at our local Hammerbarn. What better place to look for all the Bluey references with some wonderful for-real-life items. And as any Aussie will tell you, every good trip to Hammerbarn ALWAYS ends with a snag in bread. Keep your eyes peeled on our socials for all the pics of our epic day out! 

Merry Merry NuNear listeners! It’s a new year and you’re STILL listening to us? What a cause for celebration – but not TOO much celebration. Cause thar be whale watching in the morning to do! To ring in the new year we re-open our InBarks to respond to you lovely people who took the time. In our nautical journey, we make a few discoveries: Greg is a ratbag, Natalie Portman is one Brenny’s speed dial, and Pirates are somehow related to David Attenborough.  Is this the roughest we’ve ever seen Bandit and Chilli? Parent guilt is a real thing! Naomi’s picks is back and we close it all out with a memorable outro – best one of 2023 so far! 

And so this is Christmas. And what have you done? A poorly placed Uncle Stripe - Bluey bitten on the thumb. In a Hammerbarn first, the team have a trio of roving reports too cross back and forth with, as they honor a local tradition of attending the local Pageant. Err, by attending I mean watching on TV - and by roving reports I mean, it's, well, us.... But there is some ACTUAL news about the living arrangements of one Dr. Martin. There are multiple special guests, breaking (Adelaide) news, pageant float critiques and so much more in our longest EVER episode. But let’s get to the big question: Hot or Cold Custard? DEBATE! And so happy Christmas - and a Happy New Year! 

Toot toot! Yep, Brendan brings props. Sorry. The worlds of public transport collide (figuratively) in an Adelaide vs Sydney vs Brisbane showdown! Are trains romantic or have we romanticised that fact? And yes there might be wormhole theory on the tracks but listen, the rules still apply mate. Brendan and Frank steal Martys thunder multiple times but it’s okay – MVP Chilli is here to help. Naomi’s Picks continues to delight meanwhile, the humble slug leads to possibly our worst/best pun of all time. Oh and who remembers Viewmasters? 

Technology – it is a wonderful beast, but when that beast is Muffin…. Hold onto your phones parents! This episode takes screen-time to a new level complete with Golden Eyes, Muffin the Legend and good ol’ ST. And in the most amazing turn of For Real Life, we have some slight technical issues. Cheese and Crackers! I urgently advise you to allow Mum to just, do her thing. Can we mute Brendan now? 

Is this the episode born for Brendan? Did Bluey break the sacred Postal code? How GOOD is Brother Wind?!? Naomi's Picks makes a return complete with Jingle! And for the first time ever, we answer some fan questions! Some of which, were submitted an embarrassingly long time ago... Our bad! 

It’s the most competitive episode ever – and there’s an episode of Bluey too! It’s got it all from school yard memories, montages, Homestar spin offs, Bingo’s time keeping skills, smack talk and Bandit the Villain? Which one of US is the most competitive? But let’s be real, this episode is all about THAT line. How fast are you gonna run? 

Is this our best intro ever? Is this Brendans best Dad-joke ever? Followed directly by Marty's best burn ever? I tell you what though, it's probably our best beach-based episode ever! We talk all things sand including Dad-castles, crazy birds, mixed book/Disney links and sci-fi references that fall flat. And we introduce our fave recurring segment: Naomi's picks! BEEEEAAACH! 

It's time to enter the Metaverse as we attempt to explain the mind loop-de-loop that is Puppets. And you better believe that there is more than one Jim Henson reference! But who's the real star of the show? Pay no attention to the bearded man! Have we referenced Joe Brumm enough already? But such a ground breaking episode isn’t without controversy – is there some validity to the claims? The funny thing is, we do this to ourselves…

The Chaos is everywhere – and you’ll never see it coming! Is this acceptable or not? What does Tina actually look like? Can you split Bandit and Chilli for Physical Comedy MVP? Toobs or Cheezels?
