Episode 50: PDAC edition and historic tales ft. Otis Gold
Happy #PDAC2017 week! Matt and Lesley are back with a great edition of the Geology Corner wherein we discuss some outlandish mining deals from cycles past, including: finding gold in the Ottawa River, sifting through sewage, and interstellar adventures! Discussion also includes advice for navigating the PDAC conference, and recent moves in copper and gold that appear to be underpinned by socio-economic announcements out of the U.S. and China.
Meanwhile, Matt sits down with Otis Gold (TSXV: OOO; US-OTC: OGLDF) president Craig Lindsay to chat about the Kilgore gold deposit in Idaho, where the company is looking at releasing a maiden preliminary economic assessment (PEA) on a proposed heap-leach operation in the next twelve months. We talk about recent drill success and the discovery of the Aspen corridor, as well as a subsequent $5-million strategic investment from Agnico Eagle Mines (TSX: AEM; NYSE: AEM).
Matt also details the exciting announcement of The Northern Miner's Canadian Mining Symposium in London on May 9, 2017. The Symposium will take place at Canada House on Trafalgar Square in the lead up to Canada celebrating its 150th anniversary of Confederation. Speakers include Robert Friedland and Lukas Lundin.
