Down With Boring is checking in with the brains behind one of our favourite albums of 2023, as the magnificent former Dork cover-star Georgia joins us for a catch-up. She’s heading up an episode packed with faves, as we delve deep into Baby Queen‘s debut album ‘Quarter Life Crisis’, check out new music from VLURE, Spector, NewDad and Wasia Project, and welcome back the mighty Girls Aloud. Oh. And Sooty? Yeah. Us neither.

Dork’s flagship podcast-slash-radio-show Down With Boring is going global for an Iceland Airwaves special, recorded live from the festival earlier this month. Hosts Jake Hawkes and Jamie Muir are joined by a slew of talent, including Eurovision legend Daði Freyr, brilliant Belfast trio Kneecap and Dork faves Lime Garden and Sprints. Plus, y’know, just the President of Iceland. No. Really.

Dork’s flagship podcast-slash-radio-show Down With Boring is getting spooky at last Thursday’s Night of the Living Dork II this week, as we bring you all the action from our big Halloween spectacular. Recorded at the show, hosts Jake Hawkes and Jamie Muir are joined by ‘the bands’ – the magnificent Walt Disco and equally terrific FEET – for a suitably themed special edition of the pod.

As they play one of this week’s War Child UK Day of the Girl shows – which we’ll be all across as media partner, ‘FYI’ – we’ll be catching up with northern indie trailblazers The Mysterines. Elsewhere, we’re going deep on Paramore‘s collab-tastic new sort-of-remix-sort-of-rework album ‘Re: This Is Why’, plus new music from some of the most exciting new acts around, including Mary In The Junkyard, Lovejoy and UNIVERSITY.

Delaying this week’s broadcast for 24 hours so Dream Wife could drop their new single, ‘Love You More’, the band are our special guests part of a packed show that features the new album from Olivia Rodrigo (it’s all anyone is talking about, anyway), plus new music from CMAT, Romy, Divorce and more. Oh, and for some reason, Lou Bega’s ‘Mambo No. 5’. We don’t like to ask.

We spent the weekend at Reading 2023, and now we’re reporting in with a special edition recorded direct from the festival. We wrangled up a bunch of acts, lost half of them (thanks, BBC Radio 1 – Ed), and then grabbed a bunch more to bring you an episode featuring just-dropped-their-debut-album Ashnikko, about-to-drop-their-debut-album Lucia And The Best Boys, main-stage-icon James Marriott and hometown heroes The Amazons.

This week, we're at Dork's Day Out for an episode recorded earlier this month at our annual big summer party. We're joined by all 'the bands' - Thomas Headon, Courting, Swim School, Honeyglaze, Talk Show and Jo Hill - to prove we can indeed organise a piss up... erm... socially responsible event in a brewery.

Dork's flagship podcast-slash-radio-show Down With Boring is off to Truck Festival, as we bring you all the action from our two live editions at the Oxfordshire festival earlier this month. Recorded on-site, hosts Jake Hawkes and Jamie Muir are joined by Circa Waves, DMA's, Everything Everything, Panic Shack, Stone and - rather predictably if you've been to a festival in the last couple of weeks - lots of mud. 

DEADLETTER are the special guests on the latest edition of Down With Boring.; Calling in from their… erm… “meaty” smelling van from a car park in Belgium before playing a festival, we may not be able to offer a luxurious green room filled with fresh fruit and soft furnishings, but we can promise one of the most exciting new bands on the circuit.
