Down With Boring

Dork's flagship podcast-slash-radio-show Down With Boring is off to Truck Festival, as we bring you all the action from our two live editions at the Oxfordshire festival earlier this month. Recorded on-site, hosts Jake Hawkes and Jamie Muir are joined by Circa Waves, DMA's, Everything Everything, Panic Shack, Stone and - rather predictably if you've been to a festival in the last couple of weeks - lots of mud. 

DEADLETTER are the special guests on the latest edition of Down With Boring.; Calling in from their… erm… “meaty” smelling van from a car park in Belgium before playing a festival, we may not be able to offer a luxurious green room filled with fresh fruit and soft furnishings, but we can promise one of the most exciting new bands on the circuit. Elsewhere this month, we’re rammed with very exciting new music from the likes of Yard Act, CMAT, Troye Sivan, Courting and Declan McKenna, plus a Really Very Good from our The Cut cover star Claud.

This time round, Down With Boring returns from its trip to Worthy Farm tonight with a Glastonbury 2023 special. Running back across the standout sets from this year’s festival, there’s also new music from Olivia Rodrigo, The Last Dinner Party, Picture Parlour, Holly Humberstone, Stormzy, and more, plus new albums from The Japanese House and Do Nothing.

Rou Reynolds, the dynamic vocalist and keyboardist of Enter Shikari, joins the conversation fresh off their number one album. He shares insights into their exhilarating journey, touching on the significance of connection and authenticity in today’s music scene. Rou reflects on the thrill of headlining festivals and the joys and fears of collaborating with other artists. The discussion flows into the importance of live performances, humor in their shows, and excitement for new music, celebrating the vibrant, evolving landscape of the industry.

Down With Boring is celebrating The Great Escape with a special edition recorded live at the festival, held earlier this month. Caught up in the buzz and hype of the Brighton event, Jake and Jamie are catching up with some of the most exciting new names across the three days, including Nell Mescal, Lime Garden and SOFY.

Last week, our flagship podcast-slash-radio-show-slash-nonsense Down With Boring embarked on an IRL journey with the mighty Swim Deep, to London’s The Boogaloo. There, we reminisced over a decade of the band’s debut album ‘Where The Heaven Are We’ for a night of stories, memories, special guests and very good music.
