History of True Grit: John Wayne vs Jeff Bridges (a Watch with History episode)
🎙️ Map of historic travelsOur first ever "Watch with History" segment compares the 1969 and 2010 versions of the movie "True Grit." While the 2010 version has better cinematography, the hosts prefer the characters and humor in the 1969 version. Both versions follow the story of a young girl seeking revenge for her father's murder in the American Old West. The movie captures the spirit of the frontier and explores themes of determination, loyalty, and redemption.Video version (lots of great movie scene cut-ins!)-------------------------------------------------------⬇️ Help us keep the show going and explore history with us! ⬇️☕️ Buy us a coffee 😁🧳 Get free travel resources in your inbox.
