Two children abducted by creepy wooden alien? | Sam the Sandown Clown
The last place you'd expect Aliens to want to visit is the Isle of Wight but I can see why it might be an enticing destination for them. It's quiet, secluded and the perfect place to touch down without being noticed. However, two children did just that, spotting perhaps the strangest sighting of an alien being ever recorded. Part clown, part wooden human...all terrifying. but was this an actual visitation from an E.T or maybe there had been consumption of some wild mushrooms which lead to a joint hallucination? This time on Macabre Mini Mysteries, we uncover the story of Sam, the Sandown clown. Please check out the @Loremen Podcast podcast which is where I first heard about this story and also @Cool Dudes Walking Club where Marek has an episode all about this subject, going on the hunt for the clown himself.Video version: https://youtu.be/d3looVakvwEMAGIC MINDThanks to todays sponsor - Magic Mind. Please use the link below to get 40% off a subscription or 20% off a one time purchase by using the code MACABRE20https://www.magicmind.co/macabre----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------PATREON——————————-please support us on Patreon.www.patreon.com/macabrelondonThank you to our executive producer patrons - Amy, Barry, Kate, Kevin, Mary, Ren, Sam, Sarah and VeronicaAnd to all of our wonderful $5 tier patrons...AlexisAndrewChristineDavidDeniseHelenJenniferJoKathrynKristieRy FrSSabrinaShannonWendyAnd thanks to all other patrons too!ONE OFF DONATIONS————————————————You can make a one off donation to support the show via the PayPal link here:paypal.me/macabrelondonAMAZON WISHLIST——————————————————please visit my Amazon wish list.http://amzn.eu/dJxEf1VSOCIAL MEDIA---------------------------------------------Insta: @macabrelondonpodcastTwitter: @macabrelondonFacebook: @macabrelondonEmail: macabrelondon@hotmail.comWebsite: www.macabrelondon.com Hosted on Acast. Can a robot replace me? | Using an A.I to write an episode of Macabre London
Ever wondered if a robot could replace you? I experimented with A.I to see if a robot could write a better episode of my History podcast - macabre London - than I could.I think I'm safe for the time being but I reckon A.I is definitely getting there and maybe in a few years time, all I'll have to do is type the topic in and press write! I don't think it would be the same though.Podcast: www.acast.com/macabrelondonThanks so much for watching! If you are new here, you may not know that Macabre London is a fortnightly podcast and YouTube show that delves into Londons haunted and gruesome history alongside discovering Macabre mini Mysteries from all over the world! The Time Peasants Took Down The Government in a Fortnight! | The Peasants Revolt Pt2
England in the 14th century was in crisis. Famine had torn through the country in the first half of the century & extreme weather had battered the residents' properties, ports and farms causing widespread damage, taking years to recover from. The black death had swept over the world killing an estimated 25 million people globally and half of England's population overall.A poll tax was the final straw for the working people and contempt for the monarchy and the law makers began bubbling under the surface. When the king died and his 10 year old son took to the throne, the peasants knew what they had to do in order to convince the young boy that things needed to change. However, this wouldn’t be a peaceful process, they wanted blood. Today on Macabre London, we uncover the story of the Peasants Revolt. Podcast: www.acast.com/macabrelondonThanks so much for watching! The Peasants Revolt - pt 1
England in the 14th century was in crisis.Famine had torn through the country in the first half of the century & extreme weather had battered the residents' properties, ports and farms causing widespread damage, taking yeas to recover from. The black death had swept over the world killing an estimated 25 million people globally and half of England's population overall. The feudal system was exploiting those surviving workers and capping wages and to top it all off repeated wars with France caused the king to pass on those costs to the population in the form of a poll tax. This poll tax was the final straw for the working people and contempt for the monarchy and the law makers began bubbling under the surface. When the king died and his 10 year old son took to the throne, the peasants knew what they had to do in order to convince the young boy that things needed to change. The only way to get what they wanted was to show their strength in numbers and march to London.
