The Story Of My Dad - The Conversation We Would All Love To Have With Our Father

โœ… #BrianForMayor ๐Ÿ‘‰ https://BrianForMayor.London BUILD YOUR DREAM BUSINESS IN 8 WEEKS: https://londonreal.tv/biz/ 2021 SUMMIT TICKETS: https://londonreal.tv/summit/ NEW MASTERCLASS EACH WEEK: http://londonreal.tv/masterclass-yt LATEST EPISODE: https://londonreal.link/latest Not many people get the opportunity to have a personal interview with members of their own family, but this is my opportunity to sit down with Dad and get to know more about his life. He was born in 1942 in Florence, Arizona in a hospital made of Adobe โ€“ mud bricks, to which people still use to this day. In fact, my grandad's house was made of the same material. Growing up, both his parents, my grandparents, were farmers and lived in the south of America. During the depression, they came west and ended up in Arizona. His dad worked as a farmer while his mother worked in the courts. Times were tough. They didn't have much, they had no real help, no services and it was all hazards and hardships. We talk today about how life has gotten easier for people and there isn't that challenge anymore to test yourself or push through adversity and standing up for what you are fighting for. It seems to be an easier way of life. Yet, working on the farm helped me become a better person. Understanding the challenges of life and what it feels like to roll up your sleeves, dive into the hard work and savour the benefits for your accomplishments. My father's childhood was one he didn't see as difficult. Sure, there were kickbacks and it was busy, but it is about reaching your goals to strive for better. Personally, it helped him to step up and deliver, and he always thrived in a challenge. Similar to me, my father gave me a dose of masculinity to achieve more. Likewise, we thrive on bettering ourselves and diving into a challenge. We both follow the same mantra in not taking on a task with little care or effort. It is all about asking the hard questions and getting answers. My Dad is a very private person and this was a great opportunity to open up with him and discuss his early life, his parents, his influence on my childhood and his career. So join us in this deep conversation, one that we have never really spoken about before, and hopefully this can inspire you to have the same conversation with your parents.

Steve Douglas - Homelessness During The Pandemic: The Work Of St Mungo's & Rising Homelessness

โœ… #BrianForMayor ๐Ÿ‘‰ https://BrianForMayor.London BUILD YOUR DREAM BUSINESS IN 8 WEEKS: https://londonreal.tv/biz/ 2021 SUMMIT TICKETS: https://londonreal.tv/summit/ NEW MASTERCLASS EACH WEEK: http://londonreal.tv/masterclass-yt LATEST EPISODE: https://londonreal.link/latest Steve Douglas is the CEO of St. Mungo's, a charity dedicated to ending homelessness and helping rebuild the lives of those that have experienced time on the streets. Steve is extremely concerned about the welfare of homeless people, who have had a particularly tough time in 2020. He has more than 25 years experience working in the housing sector and has held numerous Director and Chief Executive positions in a variety of housing-related roles and was awarded a CBE in 2019 for his services in this area. He began his new role at St Mungo's in July of this year, in what must have been an extremely challenging period, and has promised to further the ambition of St Mungo's 'No Going Back' and 'Home for Good' campaigns. St Mungo's has played a key role in delivering the 'Everyone In' initiative. The 'Everyone In' scheme was designed to get every rough sleeper inside and safe from the virus. They managed 27 hotels as part of the emergency accommodation provided to support people during the pandemic first wave. Additionally, St Mungo's operates one of the largest outreach services in the country, offering a bed and support to more than 2,850 people each night , with the goal that "everyone has a place to call home and can fulfill their hopes and ambitions." At the beginning of the pandemic there was understandable concern regarding the huge numbers of homeless people on the streets in the UK. Despite recent events, there was also concern around the economic impact and the prospect of more people being made homeless having lost their jobs and unable to pay rent and bills. Join us as we will be talking to Steve about homelessness during the pandemic, the work of St Mungo's, government support and hidden homelessness.

Alain Robert - Achieving New Heights: Why The French Spiderman Battles With His Fear of Death | London Real

โœ… #BrianForMayor ๐Ÿ‘‰ https://BrianForMayor.London BUILD YOUR DREAM BUSINESS IN 8 WEEKS: https://londonreal.tv/biz/ 2021 SUMMIT TICKETS: https://londonreal.tv/summit/ NEW MASTERCLASS EACH WEEK: http://londonreal.tv/masterclass-yt LATEST EPISODE: https://londonreal.link/latest Alain Robert, AKA The French Spiderman is an International Urban Free Climbing legend, man of mystery and mayhem, and quite possibly one of the world's most daring athletes. For those less acquainted, it's our genuine pleasure here at London Real to introduce you to someone, who at 58 years of age, is pushing boundaries and surmounting challenges that would test the very core of someone not even half his age. Alain has been free soloing for over 45 years, living, balancing precariously, securely dangling on the very boundaries of human capability, scaling the world's most daunting, beautiful, unassailable buildings. 170 in fact, including iconic buildings such as the Eiffel Tower, The Shard, The Empire State Building, the Sydney Opera House and any number of picture perfect landmarks that cast shadows over the most famous cities in the world. In 2009 at his third attempt, Alain climbed 452 metres into the sky to the top of the daunting Petronas in Kuala Lumpur. In 2011 he climbed The Burj Khalifa in Dubai, ascending almost 3,000 feet, a challenge which took 6 hours and secured his place in the Guinness Book of World Records. Along the way there's been accidents, falls, injuries and a mind boggling 120 arrests, just mere obstacles on the path to freedom. For Alain is a man dedicated to pushing the absolute capabilities of the human body. His endless enthusiasm and repetitive training regime bear testimony to the sacrifice he is willing to make in order to find freedom and stand alone, peerless, on top of the world. What makes this man tick, who inspires the inspirational and how can a body that has seen so much continue to strive for more? Alain has an aura, an infectious enthusiasm, a relentless desire, a hunger. He's the epitome of what one can achieve, if one really focuses and strives, and works hard, day in day out. We can all overcome the challenges life throws at us, maybe we can even learn to start seeking out new ones. If Alain Robert, a man who suffers from vertigo yet climbs the world's tallest building's with no support or harness can teach us anything, it's that anything is possible.
