Kenneth Roth is the American attorney, former federal prosecutor, and executive director of Human Rights Watch. With over 450 people in 100 countries, he investigates and reports on rights abuses happening in all corners of the world. In 1997, Kenneth was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for helping introduce the Mine Ban Treaty, which saved countless lives. Roth has documented war crimes in Bosnia, Iraq and Sierra Leone, and he has also done extensive work to end the use of child soldiers. Over the past 4 decades the American has expanded the Human Rights Watch reach, growing the organization eight-fold. The reason for the visit was so that Brian could experience the psychedelic drug ayahuasca. The brew is used as a traditional spiritual medicine in ceremonies among the indigenous peoples of the Amazon basin. In this episode, Dennis McKenna (who's late brother Terence McKenna was also an advocate for the responsible use of naturally occurring psychedelic plants) and Brian Rose answer questions from a live audience about their experiences.

Nutt is the deputy head of the Centre for Psychedelic Research at Imperial College London, alongside Dr. Robin Carhart-Harris and Dr. Rosalind Watts, both of whom recently appeared on the show. In 2009, he famously asserted that "ecstasy and LSD were less harmful than alcohol." And was subsequently fired from the government Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs. David Nutt's latest book "Drink?" explores the science of alcohol, its detrimental effects on one's health, and the damage it causes humankind. Sean Carroll, is an American theoretical physicist specialising in quantum mechanics, gravity, and cosmology. Sean's research explores dark matter, extra dimensions, and the origins of the universe, and his work has been published in The New York Times and New Scientist magazine. Sean has also made television appearances on History Channel's The Universe, Morgan Freeman's Through the Wormhole, and The Colbert Report. His latest book "Something Deeply Hidden", has been described by the physicist Brian Cox as an exploration "of what it means to exist on this speck of dust in a possibly infinite universe".
