What a phenomenal deep enlightened conversation. As Danny began his story and began to weave his lessons... I felt like I was literally on a journey of energy home to connection, oneness... so wild! He spoke of the space between words, the power of listening, compassionate listening and how this all relates to our intimate relationship with Self, Source, Purpose and Beloved. Wow. I think this is officially the first podcast EVER in over 6+ years where I"ve blushed! You will HAVE to listen to discover why xoxo Michael and I shared vulnerably about our marriages and relationships, and how being true to our selves and our purpose was a missing component when relationships didn't work out. Nonetheless we also shared how each relationship was a gift to awaken a dormant part of our grandeur to being our best selves. Parlaying this into business, when you're not on target, on track, aligned with your mission, even if the money's good, even if you're making a difference... it's still ultimately unfulfilling unless you take the time to live a balanced life, fill up your tank first, honor your truth and provide services that align with your genius. Honesty and transparency in business builds trust and long term clients... in dating/relationships it quickly reveals who is a potential match because they will appreciate your vulnerability, not make you wrong for it. It's OK to take it slow. It's OK to not know. It's OK to discover one another one day at a time. I knew Mary is all about cultivating a rich interior, yet I didn't know she home birthed! WOW! The experiences she had with daughter #1 and #2, how she grew in surrender, breath, trust and letting go are so applicable not just to birthing a baby, but birthing a business, and to connecting deeply with your soul. We spoke of the importance of that feeling 'home' inside with God, with your Soul, with your breath to remain calm, patient and kind... and also staying present with fierce love should you need to stand up yourself or protect yourself. WOW! What a story! It was amazing how much resonated with mine...not in external circumstances so much as the internal terror... I'm sure it will resonate with you as well... any moment where you squashed your truth, hid out of fear, put yourself into a prison of your own making to keep the peace... yet it created hell inside your heart. We spoke of how shame can grow out of control if you don't reach out for help. We spoke of the love of our children. We spoke of what's possible when you focus on deserving a happy life being treated with kindness. I'm not sure she's buying my point of view that our soul's chose this for our greatest evolution and of course there's no way of proving this point of view... yet for me when I see things FOR me not against me, it aligns my power, energy, certainty and empowers healthier choices. What a delightful conversation with someone SO rich with spiritual presence and connection WHILE being able to provide practical tools for our everyday lives. Shanthi shared such beautiful stories of growing up in India and how her father and mother were amazing yoga teachers, yet not in the 'poses' sense we think of in the West. This dude is one of my new favorite inspiring people. He's a phenomenally empowering misfit who has created a live where he wakes up to someone who sees the real Christopher. He's designed his life, his physical environment, his friends and his message to empower us to be exponentially different, to own our messy, to do great work and love BIG even though life will still hurt BIG. Rarely have I FELT so understood by interviewing someone who never fit in and who has to 'make' it happen because the 'path' doesn't work for his wiring. Thank God as he's a huge best seller, has Bill Walton on speed dial, he hasn't had to 'work' since 38 and still gets up everyday embracing the power of entrepreneurship to stand for something. He shared great wisdom of the waves of emotion that accompany being different, how instead of resisting the pain he welcomes it, leaning into brave humility calling a good friend when he finds himself in an emotional ditch. This woman and I go to realms BEYOND! Dr. Dream Kelly Sullivan Walden is an extraordinary force of nature on a mission to awaken the world to the power of dreams.
