Do We Literally Eat Christ's Flesh and Blood?

Episode 726 | Adriel Sanchez and Bill Maier answer caller questions. Show Notes CoreChristianity.com 1. Lots of people talk about the topic of God's sovereignty as it relates to if we choose God or if God chooses us, but I am wondering if this truth is good news to those who are suffering or does it add to their pain, knowing that God allowed it to happen? Should we not mention it at all to those who are experiencing suffering? 2. What does the term "unconditional election" mean? 3. Is purgatory still taught and preached in the Catholic Church? If it is, does it exist and is that taught in the Bible or is that a false teaching and is there no existence of purgatory? Could you point me to the scriptures on this? 4. In John 6:53, when Jesus talks about eating his flesh and drinking his blood, can you explain what this means, and if it is symbolic or literal? Is "Deny Yourself" Good News?

Episode 724 | Adriel Sanchez and Bill Maier answer caller questions. Show Notes CoreChristianity.com 1. What does it mean that Jesus "emptied himself," as Paul says in Philippians 2:7? 2. There are so many different denominations, and even within those no one agrees on everything 100%. I am having anxiety about if I don't agree with a certain pastor or elder about everything. Is this ok or what should we do when experiencing these tensions? 3. In Luke 9:23, what does Jesus mean when he says that we must "deny ourselves" and "take up our cross"? 4. It seems like Paul often refers to Jesus as "Lord" but he refers to the Father as "God." Why doesn't Paul explicitly refer to Jesus as "God"? John seems to make it clear that Jesus is God, but Paul doesn't. Is there something special about the title "Lord," and that is why he mainly calls Jesus "Lord"? 5. What is the Antichrist's Role in the End Times?

Episode 723 | Adriel Sanchez and Bill Maier answer caller questions. Show Notes CoreChristianity.com 1. Folks like to say, "if it's good enough for Paul, it's good enough for me." But Paul says that he puts a curse on anybody in the church that doesn't preach the gospel, he says that twice in Galatians quoting from Deuteronomy. And he says in Acts 28 that the gospel he preached was the Gospel of the kingdom and that Jesus is the Messiah. I don't hear anybody talking about the kingdom and the Messiah. Could you comment on that? 2. Is speaking in tongues for today, if so, what is its purpose? 3. Will there be husband and wife relationships in heaven? If yes, what will it be like for a person who has been in more than one marriage? 4. What is the role of the antichrist in the end times? I see a lot of people trying to rebuild the temple in Israel, but is this the work of the antichrist? 5. How do you respond to a Christian who expects unbelievers to ask them questions about Christ because they do not live like the world but are not always willing to initiate the conversation first. Episode 722 | Adriel Sanchez and Bill Maier answer caller questions. Show Notes CoreChristianity.com 1. If I still sin, am I truly repentant? 2. What was the purpose of God's threat to Moses's life in Exodus 24? 3. How do we know that all of the New Testament epistles are God's inspired word? 4. I was told by a 'reformed' theonomist that the fact that I am a Mexican man and am married to a white woman-with whom I have a son, makes for a big problem. It seems like he was advocating for racial purity. He called his beliefs biblical and historical. What do the scriptures say about interracial marriage between two believers? 5. Which Doctrines Are Essential and Which Are Not?

Episode 721 | Adriel Sanchez and Bill Maier answer caller questions. Show Notes CoreChristianity.com I called in a few days ago to ask you about if Christians should give money to homeless people. I wanted to let you know that I took your advice and I bought multiple gift cards to hand out to different people who are homeless. I really appreciate your work and ministry—thank you! On a previous program you said that when believers die, they are immediately in the presence of God. So why does the Roman Catholic church teach that there is such a thing as purgatory? How did Jesus take our punishment on to himself if our punishment is eternal separation from God? Also, how could Jesus be eternally separated from God when he in fact is God or the second person of God's triune nature? God could have made the entire world good instead of having evil in it. In your thoughts, why do you think that is? How does one differentiate between essential doctrines, doctrines of lesser importance, and traditions, which can be very helpful but lack biblical authority? Or is that too much of a stretch to connect those things? 2. Does the Bible teach that we are assigned guardian angels? 3. Is "Jesus" the real name if the Messiah? 4. What does it mean that Jesus came to "divide" and "not bring peace"? 5. I have a question from Revelation 6:2 about the man that comes on a white horse wearing a crown and carrying a bow. I have heard that "crown" in Latin means "Corona" and "bow" in Greek means toxin, and I'm just curious if this could be the coronavirus? 6.
