German Green Hydrogen with Uniper

In this episode Oliver catches up with Dr Axel Wietfeld, CEO of Uniper Hydrogen based in Düsseldorf, Germany. We discuss the growing interest in green hydrogen in Germany and some of the steps that the energy giant Uniper is taking to meet this new demand, including the work being done at the burgeoning hydrogen hub at the port of Wilhelmshaven. Our talk encompasses many of the fundamentals that are driving the transformation pushing Germany towards a hydrogen economy. We ask how the current level of energy prices are changing the market landscape, whether the new coalition government’s lofty decarbonisation goals are realistic, and how the issues of working across borders to build international supply chains can be overcome.  All of this and more is discussed in this episode of the Joint Venture podcast. This episode coincides with the release of inspiratia’s first Green Hydrogen Index report, a data driven exploration of the progress that Germany is making towards a ‘green hydrogen first’ future. Energy Efficiency with SDCL/SEEIT

Sustainable Development Capital (SDCL) has been around since 2007, always focused on the energy efficiency space and decentralised projects, with a pretty wide geographical remit active in  Europe, the UK, NA and Asia).Over the years, energy efficiency as a concept has kind of become more mainstream and visible, and in 2018 SDCL went public with an energy efficiency vehicle in London, SEEIT. Its investments since listing have included all manner of energy efficiency assets – decentralised solar, CHP, LED lighting, onsite utility services, and more,  all backed by long-term contracts.Maritina and Fernando sit down with founder and CEO Jonathan Maxwell to talk about how far SEEIT has come since listing, how investors' attitudes towards the asset class has changed, and importantly, how the definition of EE has evolved over time and what that means for the investment proposition.Reach out to us at: podcasts@inspiratia.comFind all of our latest news and analysis by subscribing to inspiratia Interested in tickets for one of our events?
