20 years on from Liverpool's historic Treble cup-winning season of 2000/01 under the guidance of Gerard Houllier, we take a trip down Memory Lane. Liverpool assistant manager Pep Lijnders and elite development coach Vitor Matos are a crucial part of Jurgen Klopp's backroom team. But little is known about the pair - particularly the latter. So, for this special Blood Red podcast, Matt Addison picks up the phone to Jose Tavares, a coach who has occupied plenty of roles within FC Porto's youth academy over the years, and who worked with both Lijnders and Matos while they were at the Portuguese club. Tavares gives Blood Red the inside track on the key Reds coaches, explaining why both are so good at their jobs. Lijnders is one of the names in the mix as a potential successor when Klopp departs Liverpool, while Matos is following in the Dutchman's footsteps, having taken on a role that Lijnders used to fill.
