He’s both a New York sports legend and one of the most talented and gifted athletes of all time, who’s overcome a ton of adversity and darkness to get to a place where he is now inspiring millions that they too can overcome. He made his debut in 1984 bursting on the scene where he instantly became one of the most talented players in the sport. He went on to win the highest honor as a baseball pitcher, the NL Cy Young award in 1985 while achieving the historic triple crown with most wins, lowest ERA and a staggering 268 strikeouts with 16 complete games.
