Therefore, we often don’t value the precious benefits of slow growth. We now expect that nearly everything should happen fast and with little or no inconvenience that we forget that slow, imperfect progress is better than none at all. Slow growth can be confusing and frustrating, but, at the end, growth is always good - no matter how slow you progress.Resiliency is key for startupsEntrepreneurship is obviously challenging. To be successful in building your business, you must be resilient. Building a business, managing employees, expanding customer or client bases, developing products and services – these are all the types of responsibilities that can eat away at a founder’s mental and emotional fortitude.Don’t let the threat of failure stop you; instead, be motivated to find solutions and advance toward your goal. It’s much more important for entrepreneurs to be able to tough it out. Take pleasure from things that go as planned, enjoy the new experiences and remember to celebrate achievements and progress.BooksTry a free Audible trial of any book here (https://www.amazon.co.uk/Audible-Free-Trial-Digital-Membership/dp/B00OPA2XFG?tag=samharris48%E2%80%9321)Obviously Awesome: How to Nail Product Positioning so Customers Get It, Buy It, Love It (https://www.amazon.co.uk/Obviously-Awesome-Product-Positioning-Customers/dp/B085LBRHNM/ref=sr_1_1?crid=RZHENUXP4PLA&dchild=1&keywords=obviously+awesome&qid=1595004298&s=audible&sprefix=obvio%2Caudible%2C332&sr=1-1)This book shows readers how to find your product’s “secret sauce” and then sell that sauce to those who crave it. Failing forward means learning from our setbacks and making the necessary adjustments to move on and succeed. The faster and harder you fail, the less afraid you are of it because you have come out on the other side of it and are usually stronger and better equipped for it.Failing is just part of the journey and a step toward figuring things out. It’s not the end of the world if you fail at something. It just means that you're willing enough to do something new. Use failure as an opportunity to be better.Take actionYour life would be better if you took the action you’ve been avoiding - showing your interest in that girl. Actually making a habit of getting exercise. Taking the first step towards starting your business. The only thing that's stopping you is also you.Without action, nothing happens. So when you take action, not only do additional resources come your way, but you get feedback that helps you adjust your course and refine your approach. Stop waiting until conditions are perfect, stop over-thinking things, focus on the present and use action to overcome fear.Taking action is the one thing that molds you into a winner.SyncifyAn app that lets you be social at a distance. 123: The Curious Mindset - Tom Davies, GeoWizard

Tom Davies, GeoWizardTom Davies, better known online as GeoWizard, is an English YouTuber who uploads videos based around the online map game GeoGuessr. In early 2019, Tom had felt a craving for an adventure — one that would push him mentally and physically and, with any luck, leave a sense of accomplishment at the end. He attempted to walk across the country of Wales in a completely straight line. He didn't upload the footage until summer of the same year. He attempted to cross from the English border near the town of Oswestry, all the way to Dolgellau on the west coast. He made it just over half way before temporarily giving up, taking a 5 day break, and returning to walk the rest of the distance. Tom split the adventure into five parts, with each episode lasting just over 30 minutes. Each episode is entertaining and humorous as you would expect.Tom has managed to accrue a massive following who is simply amazed at his ability to guess all kinds of random locations on the game GeoGuessr, a game that requires some intermediate travel and geographical knowledge. So gamers will be trying to guess the locations of remote towns or villages, roads, and other areas that might not be obvious at first glance..There are dozens of other videos with Tom making impressive guesses on YouTube.Tom:Connect with Tom on LinkedIn (https://www.linkedin.com/in/tom-davies-982b2a193/)GeoWizard YouTube Channel (https://www.youtube.com/c/GeoWizard/featured)Support Tom on Patreon (https://www.patreon.com/geowizard)ABOUT THE HOSTMy name is Sam Harris. Being able to enjoy life without technology doesn’t mean getting rid of all your electronic devices. It simply means there are ways you can limit the amount of time and access you have to these devices so that you have more face to face contact with other people and more time for recreation. There is a whole world we are missing out on when we are too concerned with technology. Real time spent with friends, family, and even ourselves is much more rewarding than scrolling mindlessly through your screen. No amount of money can buy time and you shouldn’t feel like you’re mindlessly wasting your life awayMany people choose careers that don’t make them happy. For what? For money, for social status. Only to find out that they would all do it differently if they had the chance. You only have one life, so don’t waste it working somewhere you hate just because of the money.Work for something you care of love and see yourself living better. It is more important that you are happy and get to do what you are passionate about every day/Be consciousTo be conscious is being aware of one's own existence, sensations, thoughts, surroundings, etc. Take a look at your life as if you were somebody else looking inside your brain. Observe what thoughts you entertain and what patterns you do everyday. Notice that some will be positive and some will be negative. These negative thoughts and actions are the ones holding you back and they need to be stopped. The positive thoughts and actions you entertain and do every day need to be magnified and multiplied. Whether you realize it or not, we spend the majority of your day doing things you’ve already donea lot of times before. Very rarely do you actually try new things for the purpose of engaging a unique experience. The fear of the unknown and the fear of failure often tempt you to say “no” to anything new. But pushing out of your comfort zones is actually good for you in so many ways. The possibilities are absolutely endless when it comes to trying something new, and whether it’s a big or small leap outside your comfort zone you’ll still reap the benefits. Trying new things is often terrifying and daunting and that’s reason enough to do it. Take a leap forward and embrace it completely. Know your target audienceKnowing your target audience is an important piece of the marketing plan, yet people fail to execute this properly. When you clearly identify your target audience, you focus on connecting with them and when you know your audience, you know their problems. With this knowledge, you can pinpoint places of opportunity for your brand to provide solutions. When you define your target audience, you create brand recognition and loyalty, deeply resonate with prospects, and improve your offerings all while creating better marketing campaigns. Failing is important because it teaches us how to go about things. It’s through failure that we learn the greatest lessons that life could teach us.Most people dread failure as it will take you on a journey that isn't your goal. But, the reality of the situation is that the journey of failure will only help to mold and shape you into a better person. Failure is only a word that means you have produced some other result instead of your original goal. It's ok to fail and if you fail, fail forward.Find the right supportWhen obstacles arise, we sometimes need a little help keeping our goals in perspective. If you are ever overwhelmed or struggling, your support network should be willing to help you and offer their guidance, insight and strategies for success. Build a network of people you can trust and look to for guidance. Cultivating and maintaining a network can help you achieve success. By providing the encouragement that you need to meet each challenge with determination and a positive attitude, the right support will help you learn from your failures and celebrate your success. The ability to infuse energy, passion, commitment, and connection to an organization's mission and direction is essential in any growing company.A leader is deeply committed to their people. The leader must demonstrate this commitment and passion in every meeting, presentation, and in how they handle problems. The leader's behavior must inspire employees to act in the same way.No one follows a leader just because they are. People follow a leader for thefor their qualities. The most inspirational leaders ignite a spark within their employees and followers that move them to action and not by words. SyncifyAn app that lets you be social at a distance. These criticism can be difficult to accept – but that all depends on your reaction. Either you use criticism in a positive way to improve, or in a negative way that can lower your self-esteem and cause stress, anger or even aggression. The key thing to remember is that whatever the circumstance is, don't respond in anger. Try to remain calm and use criticism to fuel your growth. We all learn by making mistakes, and refusing to admit to your mistakes can hinder your progress on being successful.Bet on yourselfIf you're not betting on yourself to win, no one else willDon’t give up just yet. Bet on yourself because who else do you trust more than yourself? Nobody else can do it for you. You will even surprise yourself along the journey once you let go and just go all in.Just like how you would cheer for your favorite sports team, you also need to be your biggest cheerleader. Put in the work and the practice and the long hours required, so that when it’s game time you score the winning shot! Bet on yourself. You are the best investment there is.SyncifyAn app that lets you be social at a distance.
