Utah Gubernatorial Candidate Jeff Burningham
In this episode we chat with businessman and Utah gubernatorial candidate Jeff Burningham. While attending Brigham Young University, Jeff started a tech company and later sold it to a Nasdaq-listed company. He then went on to invest in real estate, later realizing the appreciation in the market was unsustainable and sold his real estate holdings before the United States housing bubble burst. In 2007, Burningham co-founded Peak Capital Partners, a real estate investment firm that now has over $2 billion in assets under management. In 2014, Burningham launched Peak Ventures, the first institutional venture capital fund in Utah County. Peak Ventures has invested in a number of startups, including Podium, Divvy, Owlet, and Degreed. Jeff is a longtime friend of the podcast and we're looking forward to catching up with him.
