307: Secure Your Family’s Future: Off-Grid Living In Panama’s Highlands – Part One

Freedom-minded folks like you and I can often feel isolated in a world where so many people are affected by socialist propaganda, the woke mind virus, or whatever you want to call it.  Can you really count on your neighbours when they think your views are “nutty” or that your concerns about world events make you a “conspiracy theorist?” In today’s episode, I am excited to present you with a solution to this problem: Veritas Panama, an off-grid community living development in the highlands of Panama. Don’t worry -  this isn’t some hippie-dippie place with small log cabins, no internet, and no access to modern amenities… Veritas Panama is a luxury development designed specifically for freedom-oriented individuals who want to guarantee a secure future for themselves and their families without foregoing the modern amenities of the developed world. Enjoy the presentation, and to secure your lot today, don't hesitate to email expat@EcoVillages.life.   TODAY’S PRESENTATION ABOUT OFF-GRID LIVING IN PANAMA’S HIGHLANDS Listen in as Patrick Hiebert—one of my dearest friends and my partner in Veritas Panama—guides you through the project's background and how it all came together. If you think “off-grid” means living without modern amenities, think again! Learn how this solar-powered community maintains all the luxuries of first-world living.  What about water? Discover how Veritas Panama is able to maintain its own self-sufficient water supply.  Does “off-grid” mean losing life’s luxuries? Hear why Veritas Panama is fully equipped to handle a luxury lifestyle for its inhabitants, all while remaining off-grid and self-sufficient.  Are you sick of being looked at with a sideways glance for your “crazy” beliefs? Find out how Veritas is fostering a welcoming environment where you’ll feel more than free to speak your mind.  Learn how Veritas Village is a crypto-friendly community - you can even use Bitcoin to purchase your lot! Find out what a DAO (Decentrally Autonomized Organization) is and how it utilizes Bitcoin to enable voluntary community governance. Discover how Veritas Panama is perfectly set up to enable the growing of all its own food, from community-oriented projects to private gardens. What about education? Yes, there will even be an expat school in Veritas Village. How is the climate in the highlands of Panama? Patrick breaks down the seasons and how they play into the ability to have a water supply throughout the year.   SIGN UP FOR OUR NEWSLETTER Be the first to know about presentations like today’s, which originally ran as a live webinar, by signing up for our email newsletter. I founded this company to find real solutions to the problems faced by freedom-seekers around the world, and Veritas Panama is a direct response to the type of concerns I hear all the time.  As much of the world’s political elite prepares to usher in a dystopian nightmare flush with draconian “solutions” like CBDCs, Digital IDs and “15-minute cities’, we are forming a strong, self-sufficient community in Panama that will be immune to many of these machinations.  If you want to become a part of this community, email expat@EcoVillages.life right away to secure your lot. I hope you enjoyed this presentation, and tune in to a special bonus episode tomorrow for Part Two, where we’ll share the question-and answer portion of this presentation. Mentioned in this episode:Join Me In Panama For Our Next TourI have great news. 306: El Salvador: An Oasis of Decentralization – Dr. Jack Kruse

Is a decentralized revolution occurring in El Salvador? That's exactly what today's guest, Dr. Jack Kruse, who currently lives and practices medicine in El Salvador and has served as an advisor to Nayib Bukele, joins me to discuss. Dr. Jack Kruse, a neurosurgeon, had an awakening in 2007 when he suffered a torn meniscus in his knee at 6’2”, 357 lbs. This led to his further study of physics, light, magnetism, and electricity, ultimately concluding that modern medicine lacked a deep understanding of how humans function in relation to the natural world. He is the CEO of Kruse Longevity Center in the US and El Salvador, a health and wellness company dedicated to helping patients avoid the healthcare burdens they typically encounter as they age. He is also the author of “Epi-Paleo Rx: The Prescription for Disease Reversal and Optimal Health.”   TODAY’S CONVERSATION WITH DR. JACK KRUSE Listen in to learn how Dr. Kruse had an epiphany regarding the state of the medical industry after his own traumatic medical incident. Hear the inside story about the TED talk Dr. Kruse was invited to give, which ended up getting banned. Discover how Dr. Kruse got the ear of El Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele’s health ministry. Learn about the “oasis of decentralization” that Bukele plans to bring to El Salvador. Uncover a few of the 20 points Dr. Kruse laid out to Nayib Bukele that he needed to decentralize El Salvador. What is the dark secret that connects the CIA’s MK-Ultra program with the ban on incandescent lightbulbs? Dr. Jack has the inside track. Hear me on the edge of my seat as Jack guides me through the dark history connecting the mob, Las Vegas casinos and our modern-day screen addictions. Learn why COVID convinced everybody that Dr. Kruse wasn’t crazy, even though he was saying the same things he had been saying for fifteen years. Was moving to Panama inadvertently the healthiest decision I’ve made for my family? Dr. Kruse explains why its location provides a massive health upgrade to those moving climates further from the equator.   WHERE TO FIND DR. I often discussed how longevity has always been a hobby of mine, and Dr. Kruse certainly gave me a lot to think about. His insights on Nayib Bukele’s plan to decentralize El Salvador definitely piqued my interest. While I’m not ready to recommend clients choose El Salvador for their own Plan-B, it is certainly a country worth keeping an eye on in the coming years.Mentioned in this episode:Join Me In Panama For Our Next TourI have great news. 303: Javier Milei’s Presidency: The Real Impact On Freedom In Argentina – Skot Sheller

Javier Milei has been the talk of freedom-oriented expat circles since the libertarian firebrand was elected president of Argentina last year. Today, I am joined by Skot Sheller, who has been following Milei’s work for years and is himself pursuing Argentinian citizenship. Enjoy today’s discussion as Skot and I look at what Javier Milei has really accomplished so far, the opposition he faces from within Argentina, and the broader implications for freedom across Latin America and the world.   TODAY’S CONVERSATION WITH SKOT SHELLER Discover how Skot first became fascinated not just with Argentina but with its history and politics.  How did Argentina wind up with an anarcho-capitalist as President after decades of socialism? Skot lays out how Milei maneuvered his way into the Presidency.  Learn how the black market completely managed the exchange of dollars and pesos in Argentina when the government proved unreliable.  Uncover the reasons why, despite concerns about de-dollarization, the dollar is still seen as a safe haven compared to many Latin American currencies.  Can Javier Milei really go after the Argentinian central bank? Skot breaks down the odds that he can deliver on his intentions to close the central bank entirely. Find out what departments Milei was able to cut immediately - you won’t believe some of the “Ministries” that the Argentine government was funding! Hear Skot break down the challenges Milei faces from within his own government - and why it’s not inconceivable that he could even be impeached.  Would I recommend Argentina as a Plan-B location due to Milei’s Presidency? Hear what I’m telling my clients who have been asking me about it.  Should people be concerned that Milei has spoken at the World Economic Forum? Skot and I discuss the circumstances and content of his WEF speeches. An Argentinian alliance with NATO? Skot and I look beyond the headlines to decipher what this really means.   WHERE TO FIND SKOT SHELLER Follow Skot on X @Bangershell11   SIGN UP FOR OUR NEWSLETTER Stay in touch with us by signing up for our email newsletter. While I have reservations about Argentina as a Plan-B recommendation, I can’t deny that the political situation is an interesting one, and it will certainly be a country to keep an eye on as the political situation unfolds. Mentioned in this episode:Join Us For Upcoming Live WebinarsEvery month, we offer exciting new webinars for our community. 302: Social Media In The Age Of Technocracy – Wilfried Ligthart

How can you get your message out in the Age of Technocracy? Today’s guest, Wilfried Ligthart is a renowned Digital Blacksmith with a deep understanding of the evolving digital landscape. He specializes in driving external traffic, developing engaging online communities, and converting digital audiences into profitable customers.  As we discuss in today’s episode, Wilfried has many insights into providing value in the digital age while focusing on protecting consumer data against Big Tech companies.   TODAY’S CONVERSATION WITH WILFRIED LIGTHART Learn why Wilfried views digital marketing like trying to get past the bouncers at a nightclub.   “The best things in life are free,” as they say; discover why this slogan applies to Internet traffic.  How can we protect against the proliferation of fake, AI-generated content? Can we prevent the Deep Fakes from crowding out content with real, genuine value? Discover the frightening effects of “algorithmic decision-making” - are the decisions you make online really your own? Wilfried and I discuss how social engineering programs pushing “equality, diversity, inclusion, etc.” have the opposite effect and have increased division in our society. Hear Wilfried’s suggestions for people who want to be honest and true to themselves but at the same time don't want to be de-platformed for spreading their views. Uncover the insidious manner in which European countries incentivize the “voluntary” adoption of digital IDs. Could Joe Biden be a deep fake? We only half-jokingly discuss the possibility of the sitting U.S. President being AI-generated. HOW TO CONTACT WILFRIED LIGHTHART Email: wilfried@digitalblacksmiths.io For your digital marketing needs, reach out to Digital Blacksmiths.   SIGN UP FOR OUR NEWSLETTER As we discussed in this episode, the best way to stay in touch with us is by signing up for our email newsletter. Wilfried is not only one of the world’s foremost experts in digital marketing but also, as you can tell from our conversation, certainly shares the values we embody here at Expat Money.  Each of us has to find the right balance between utilizing Big Tech's tools for our personal and professional needs and avoiding the insidious traps set by technocrats.  As discussed in the episode, this podcast remains very difficult to censor, so we can speak openly here (but for obvious reasons, you won’t find today’s conversation on YouTube). 300: Living Internationally: Lessons From 300 Episodes

300 episodes—I truly can’t believe it!  In many ways, it feels like yesterday when I recorded the first episode of the Expat Money Show. At the same time, my life and this company have changed drastically since that day.  Today, I decided to invite my good friend and colleague Marc Clair—who has known me for nearly as long as I have been doing this show—to flip things around, act as my co-host this week, and interview me about how Expat Money and my own life have evolved over the 300 episodes of this podcast. Enjoy!   TODAY’S 300TH EPISODE RETROSPECTIVE: Take a peek behind the scenes and see how Expat Money isn’t just a one-man band with me in an office doing everything - I’ve now got a staff of close to 30, including today’s co-host.  Listen to fill in the gap from my often-discussed early childhood & leaving Canada as a teenager to 17 years later when I started Expat Money.  Where did the idea for Expat Money come from? Discover why I decided to combine my hobbies and interests and launch the Expat Money Show. Uncover a simple truth about content creation: your content is going to suck flat-out when you start (and why you should embrace that!) Why does my newsletter come from MikkelThorup.com and not ExpatMoney.com? I always get asked this, and there is a story behind it… Find out which of my early podcast guests became a mentor and a crucial part of my own growth - a name many listeners will recognize! Learn why I am anti-Malthusian when it comes to children—I recommend having as many children as possible!  Tune in to hear Marc and I discuss how many people worldwide are realizing they have been lied to and that our governmental and educational systems, by and large, do not have our best interests at heart.  Is imitation really the best form of flattery? Find out about the string of Expat Money posers and straight-up plagiarizers that have sprung up as Exapt Money has gained greater notoriety.  Lastly, for those new around here who may think Expat Money is just a podcast, learn about everything else we do here, from our blog to our newsletter to our free webinars, annual online summit, in-person trips and conferences, and so much more in the years to come.   SIGN UP FOR OUR NEWSLETTER You would have already heard about a few of these new items if you had been subscribed to our newsletter. Every single one of you who tunes in to this show helps me accomplish my personal and business goals. 298: World War Watch: Middle East Conflicts and Tensions In The Taiwan Strait – Kyle Anzalone

From the ongoing conflicts in the Middle East to the tensions in the Taiwan Strait, it’s hard to keep up with all of the unfortunate military conflicts around the globe. With a wife, three children, and a seven-figure business to run, I find it difficult to keep up with the constantly evolving landscape of these global conflicts... Luckily, we have experts like today’s guest, Kyle Anzalone, who has dedicated himself to keeping up with these rapidly evolving situations.  Kyle is the Opinion Editor for Antiwar.com, the News Editor at the Libertarian Institute, and co-host of the podcast Conflicts of Interest. He joins the Expat Money Show today to provide an update on the various conflicts currently affecting people around the globe.  Enjoy! TODAY’S CONVERSATION WITH KYLE ANZALONE Tune in as Kyle lays out how a certain US Presidential candidate captured his interest in libertarian philosophy and the libertarian movement (while the antiwar part took a little longer…) Learn what eventually led Kyle to conclude that to be antiwar is an essential extension of the libertarian philosophy, causing him to become a passionate antiwar advocate.  Hear Kyle and I discuss an interesting theory about the connection between U.S. foreign policy and domestic gun violence.  How do psy ops influence our interactions with our fellow man? Whether it’s to militarize the public towards war or agitate their fear of a pandemic, it’s shocking to think about how much of our behaviour is due to outside influences.  Listen to Kyle expertly break down the conflicts in the Middle East, centred around Israel and the Gaza Strip, and the various players involved as an extension of the conflicts, including Iran.  Learn about the heartbreaking consequences of war to civilians in the region, from famine to the spread of disease. No matter what your politics, the disastrous effects of war cannot be overstated. Hear Kyle provide an update on the Ukraine war, which has dragged on for nearly two years. Is there any end in sight? Uncover the truth about Ukrainian President Zelensky - how did this two-bit comedian end up overseeing a massive war with Russia? Truly some of the best evidence for clown world yet! How will the U.S. election impact foreign policy and the domestic situation within the U.S.? Is there a situation where one alternative is better than the other? Kyle and I look at every angle. Lastly, Kyle provides an overview of the current tensions in the Taiwan Strait and how the China-Taiwan conflict affects the larger global picture.   HOW TO FIND KYLE ANZALONE'S WORK Subscribe to the Conflicts of Interest podcast. They truly do stellar work there and deserve your support.  I always have mixed feelings when I do these foreign policy episodes. For one, it can be downright depressing to think about all the needless death and destruction that goes on around the world, of all the innocent lives lost.  On the other hand, understanding these global conflicts is of huge importance to the expat world. I have subscribers, Private Clients, and friends from literally every corner of the world, and I am always concerned about how the prospects of war might affect someone I care about.   Be sure to check out Kyle’s podcast, Conflicts of Interest, and the work of everyone over at AntiWar.com, a truly fantastic organization.Mentioned in this episode:Join Us For Upcoming Live WebinarsEvery month, we offer exciting new webinars for our community.
