Imagine growing up in the Proctor and Gamble family. What that life looked like and how having such a family can influence you.

Foster and I talk about the solutions and how we can have more freedom, more liberty, more prosperity, and more happiness on our planet… I think you’ll love this conversation.
Great question for Foster, ‘how would you simplify the entire world situation into a sentence?’ Incredible answer.
We talk about the ‘non-aggression principle and if you’re not sure what that is, make sure to listen today. I believe once you understand fully, this will become part of your day-to-day life.

Are you awake yet? What will it take to wake you up? This might be the episode that helps you get from there to here!
You’ll be amazed at how many families are now homeschooling their children, especially after the last 2 years of government-run schools and finding out what kind of BS the teachers were teaching. Parents are finally waking up!

198: Esperanto Explained: Chuck Smith’s Vision of Global Communication
Chuck Smith is the co-founder of the Polyglot Gathering, contributor of Duolingo’s Esperanto course and founder of the Esperanto Wikipedia, among other Esperanto and polyglot projects.
He had the idea for a GPS device to find fellow Esperanto speakers while travelling through Brazil in 2002 but needed to wait 15 years for the technology to catch up, so he could pursue this dream.
Now he looks forward to meeting the challenges ahead to help people everywhere connect to make the world a better place.
TODAY'S CONVERSATION WITH CHUCK
What is Esperanto, where did it come from, and why is Esperanto important?
Why do people use Esperanto?
Does Esperanto have any politics attached to it? Is it a nation-state type of language?
What would a new community in a country look like if Esperanto were the main language, instead of many different languages being spoken?
Listen in to find out where the Universal Congress of Esperanto will take place this year, what country and when? You might want to attend!
Find out how many people speak Esperanto worldwide and how long it took them to grasp the new language.
If you are a monoglot speaker, and this is the first language you will learn outside of your native language, find out how difficult it will be to learn Esperanto.
What are the stumbling blocks of why Esperanto does not have 20 million or 200 million speakers?
#1 system recommended by Chuck Smith to learn Esperanto, hands down.
I talk with Chuck about his app ‘Amikumu,’ what it does and how we can all learn about other Esperanto speakers when we travel to new countries or a different city.
Chuck and I discuss how someone would really learn the language of Esperanto, what you need to know and do to be fluent and how long that would take.
You would be amazed at the number of hours required to pick up a new language, depending on what your native language is and what you want to learn in a new language. It’s not as bad as most people think.
Best advice, tips and tricks if you want to learn the language of Esperanto!

CONCLUSION
Honestly, if you want to learn a second language and you’re struggling with Spanish, French or German, then Esperanto is a great language to start with.
The time allotted to become fluent is considerably shorter than any other language, and the benefits of learning Esperanto are really worth the effort.

196: How To Make Friends With Warlords And Other Dangerous Individuals – Kolja Spori
Dr. Kolja Spori, Formula 1 Agent and Austrian Economist who has visited all 193 countries of the world.
In his quest to seek truth and liberty, he met freedom fighters, guerrillas and warlords, such as the FARC leaders "Black Death" and Tanja Nijmeijer in the Colombian mountains, the Russian Nightwolf "Chirurg" in Crimea, Chechen President Ramzan Kadyrov in Grozny, and Liberia's putschist Prince Johnson in Monrovia.
Kolja narrowly missed the bombing of Donbas rebel leader Alexander Sakharchenko in the Separatist Cafè Donezk, and he won a staredown against US "Defence Secretary" Donald Rumsfeld in an elevator in Batumi.
He is often known by his nickname Dr. Dangerzone and is the Ambassador of Germany to the World’s youngest country: Liberland, and he also happens to be a very dear friend of mine, so I’m really excited to have him on our show!
A GLIMPSE INTO MY CONVERSATION WITH KOLJA
What an intense conversation with Kolja on the most dangerous cities and countries you can travel to and what can happen at any moment while you are there.
What life is like when you have visited every UN country in the world, especially war zones…
We talk about THE most dangerous capital in the world and what the government does and doesn’t do to protect its citizens.
On the other hand, we talk about Russia and the freedom from government and what it’s like in Siberia. Such dichotomy.
I really wanted to understand what is it about these dangerous countries or the war zone that attracted Kolja to want to visit and see them, and why he continues to visit them again and again.
Listen in as Kolja describes war zones and crisis areas in Belfast, Northern Ireland… what it felt like and the process he undertook to be able to process what was happening… countries like Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi and the Congo… each one more dangerous than the other
How hiring a local taxi driver in these horrific war zone areas who can explain why after so many years these things are still happening, can impact who you are as a person and why it’s so important to understand the truth.
Find out which city and country are Kolja’s most favourite of all the countries he has visited in his lifetime. I bet you’ll never guess.
How the information we get on television or in our mainstream media is the direct opposite of the reality on the ground, as we discuss several different countries and what life is actually like living there.
Extreme Traveller Congress… from billionaire to backpacker, how 150 participants come together, no matter what they’ve done in the past, and why it just doesn’t matter, all for the love of travel and adventure.
We discuss in detail what life is like for Kolja now, living in Monaco, after spending years travelling… is this still a passion for him?
I wanted to understand what Kolja has learned from visiting all of these different types of war zone countries and meeting the players that are involved? What have been his insights?
If you have an extra $250,000 sitting around and want to do something so radical that almost no one else on earth has done or even heard about, then listen as Kolja pitches you on his next adventure of 2023.

This was a fun hour spent with my friend, smoking a cigar and talking about our radical travels throughout our lives. I’m not a jealous person, but wow, Kolja’s experiences have been just mind-blowing for me.

Today, we will be discussing food autonomy and sustainable/ecological living based on Permaculture Design. These are topics that I have wanted to discuss in more detail for several months now.
TODAY'S CONVERSATION WITH JOEY EL-KHOURY
What IS Permaculture Design? What does it include and can we achieve that in an optimum design?

How we can grow food sustainably at the local level with minimum input in terms of financial investment, infrastructure and technology.
Is it possible to live as a society and meet our basic needs altogether, collectively within the natural limits of the ecosystems and the environment?
Joey and I discuss what he believes are best practices for us as human beings to ensure that our planet is sustainable and here for many, many years.
We talk about the nurturing of our freedom while at the same time nurturing solidarity, and what kinds of challenges will arise.
Best ideas ever for a permaculture mindset. I think you will really enjoy these concepts as they fall in line with your belief patterns.
We discuss the tools in the toolbox and potential solutions on different aspects from different dimensions of what it means to organize ourselves as a society.
The top 3 reasons why I left the Middle East and moved my family to Panama.
Joey shares his top 3 most important ideas when it comes to self-sufficiency and moving forward in the coming years and why this topic is vital for the existence of our future.

193: Into The Depths: Gold Mine Explorations – Larry Scharf
Today’s guest on the Expat Money Show is Larry Scharf, Senior Vice President of Scharf & Selden, Wealth Management of Raymond James. He specializes in portfolio management with a special passion for precious metals and mining companies. In this interview, we are focused on Larry's travels visiting dozens of mines around the world and his insights on investing in junior miners for fun and profit.
IN TODAY'S CONVERSATION
Larry breaks down the difference between mines in a first-world country like Canada to mines in developing countries like Mongolia, I’m positive this will surprise you!
What happens today, compared to mining in the early 80s, and how they can go back and mine the same area over again.
And the money-making way that they wanted to mine silver from a bat cave in East Malaysia.
The excitement involved taking an elevator down to the 1700 level of a mine, surrounded by rock everywhere you look and the mind-blowing fact that there’s only one way back out!
How gold is leached out of the rock. I bet you have no idea how it’s done, the time it takes and what needs to be done to get ½ gram of gold.
Great conversation about some of the more interesting countries in South America and how the government can really make a mess of things purely out of greed and which countries Larry will NEVER invest in.
Larry shares the companies he likes to work with best.
Why understanding the culture, the people, the mentality and the work ethic and how everything fits together and plays very strongly into the performance of the mine or the investment itself, and what happens when you don’t do your due diligence.
I asked Larry to walk me through the process of arriving in a new country, what is he looking for, and what is going to set off alarm bells or make him say ‘okay, this is it, I like it.
Larry shares what his sweet spot is when he’s looking to invest for himself and his clients. Where does the company need to be for him to give them money and invest for his clients!
Top tips for those of you who want to get into the mining space, either from the investment side or the hobby side.

CONCLUSION
I’ve loved the idea of mining and precious metals since I was young and started my travels across the globe. I’ve been to many private vaults around the world, but never have I been down 1 kilometre in a mine, or watched as they dig for gold! I just had so much fun chatting with Larry, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

192: New Worlds: Peter Young’s Quest to Build Autonomous Cities
Peter Young is the Managing Director of the Free Cities Foundation. He leads the operational management of the foundation, with oversight over project delivery, communications and finance.
Before joining the Free Cities Foundation, he spent most of his career based in Beijing, supporting trade links between the UK and China.
TODAY'S CONVERSATION WITH PETER
How the growth of countries like Hong Kong, and Singapore have been so successful and why most countries chose not to adopt this kind of system even though they find them inspiring.
Focusing on building a new Hong Kong and a new Singapore to give more people the choice regarding the kind of place they want to live in and what that might look like for the future.
What do Honduras, El Salvador and West Africa have in common when it comes to governments and how their history can change what’s coming.
What is a ZEDE? What do they do? Where are they located? And why should you even care?
Where is the focus now for Free Private Cities? What can be done to ensure they are successful and that governments don’t come along and wipe them out with the stroke of a pen!
Countries and projects that have ZEDEs, like Honduras, and what happens when they are started by a government that is no longer in power.
How all the work that goes into building a ZEDE can be disrupted and why having a strong legal foundation is so important.
El Salvador… how are things on the ground with their adoption of Bitcoin?
Panama and cryptocurrency. What does the future hold for this Latin American country?
Living in the most efficient and effective manner possible and what that can ultimately look like in the years to come.
Lastly, we talk about Free Private Cities. What does the organization stand for? How do they work? And how do they actually help and make changes in these countries?

190: Constructing Liberty: Patrick Hiebert’s Self-Sustaining Community Development
Patrick Hiebert is the Co-Founder of EcoVillages, an eco-home and sustainable community design and development company based on libertarian values and the Founder of MavenNFT.io, a hard asset NFT marketplace.
EcoVillages has defined the “F.I.R.S.T. Community Certification” program whereby other eco-friendly and sustainability-based community developers can become certified as implementing best practices.
TODAY'S CONVERSATION WITH PATRICK,
Why being with like-minded freedom-lover is the only path forwards
How self-sustainability and personal responsibility are your greatest defence for what is happening in the world
Zero power bill to run your home or your business…imagine…wondering how that works? We talk about creating that for your home.
We talk about the financial benefits of wind power, solar power, recycling, greywater…things vital for the future.
If you get separated from the grid or if there’s a problem with a hurricane or other type of natural disaster, are you ready? Will you be able to live? Big questions we answer here.
Patrick explains F I R S T…you will want to know and understand the rationale behind this amazing concept of living.
I wanted to know how a community will grow and be able to sustain itself, what the technology will be, the responsibilities, and how these types of things will be built. Patrick goes hog wild on the details!
What happens to the greywater and the black water in this new community? Should we all be buying new eco-friendly soaps… an interesting question.
How living in a country that grows fresh vegetables and fruits year-round is so different from countries in the Northern Climates, like Canada or Norway. If you think you can come down to countries like Panama or Nicaragua and use the same systems…think again!
How vitally important it is to understand the culture, the history, the language, the food, and making friends with the local people and incorporating yourself into the new country you will now call home.
If you’re looking at getting back to traditional values, and warm family values, then you’ll really enjoy this episode with Patrick and me.
Two extremely important concepts…a self-sustainable lifestyle and like-minded people. It’s hard not to imagine what our world will look like in the future.
We talk in detail about security. Are these communities walled? How will you be protected when you live in one of our communities? Will you feel safe?
To all my American friends still up in the States, you’ll be excited to hear what’s new in Panama, and what you can now do that was once almost impossible!
Think you’ll be bored living in a community with 300 homes in the middle of the mountains with a view of the ocean? Wondering what you’ll do every day? You will not believe what Patrick and his team have built in other countries, it will blow your mind!
Patrick explains an NFT and how it pertains to buying real estate. The benefits of using an NFT and how he’s taken a messy concept and made it really really easy. You’ll want to buy homes this way for the rest of your life.
Financially sustainable, living tax-free, growing your own food, producing your own energy and spending time with like-minded people…it doesn’t get much better than that.
