He served as a communications officer specializing in designing and operating large-scale tactical networks before joining the U.S. Naval Academy as a military professor in the Dept of Computer Science. Joni now leads teams of mobile engineers in the development of Capital One's flagship apps used by over 22 million people. Joni is also an avid member of the developer community and organizes the DC Android, DC Flutter and DC Kotlin Meetups.
