Active Towns

Lenore Skenazy, an author and co-founder of the Let Grow organization, discusses the importance of childhood independence. She shares her journey of allowing her child to ride the subway alone, sparking a movement for free play. The conversation highlights cultural differences in parenting styles, particularly the Dutch approach to fostering self-navigation skills. In this episode, I reconnect with Mike Christensen, train travel expert and the Executive Director of the Utah Rail Passengers Association, for a discussion about recent exciting rail network expansion opportunities and what I would need to do to successfully take the Active Towns Tour to the rails here in the United States.
