The EdTech Demonstrator Programme is a network of schools and colleges across England who exhibit effective practice in the use of technology. The Demonstrator Schools and Colleges involved in the programme provide professional development and support, focusing initially on supporting the effective delivery of remote teaching practices to schools and colleges across the country. Chris Headleand developed an innovative way to keep students and staff connected to the University of Lincoln during lockdown, by creating a virtual campus called Lincoln Island which has been downloaded over 8000 times. We chat to Chris about the opportunity for Universities to really reinvigorate their teaching and learning, student centricity and the need to take the reality of local lockdowns and needs of shielding students seriously.
