Dave Geer is Senior Vice President - Operations at Virgin Atlantic and was appointed to this role in September 2020.  He is responsible for large parts of Virgin Atlantic’s operations, including flight operations, pilots, cabin crew, inflight services, crew logistics, property & facilities and business resilience. Dave is also the executive sponsor of Virgin Atlantic’s VALUED network (Virgin Atlantic Loves Unity & Ethnic Diversity). Prior to his current role, Dave was SVP – Revenue Management & Distribution, with responsibility across pricing and revenue management, distribution strategy and digital transformation. Dave joined Virgin Atlantic from Virgin Holidays, where he was Interim Managing Director.  Prior to his role as Managing Director, Dave was responsible for revenue management, product, corporate strategy and business development. Dave began his career as a management consultant at L.E.K., where he spent over six years advising companies on mergers, acquisitions and a variety of strategies across heavy industry, retail and financial services. Dave lives in London with a wife and three children. He enjoys running, cycling, cricket and watching most sports. He is originally from Adelaide, Australia and studied Chemical Engineering at the University of New South Wales. Meet Phil Cain... Phil is a great friend of our special friend Captain Bing Bong Peter Higgins 'I Spent 30yrs in the Met Police, the last 15 as a Detective. On leaving I wanted to fulfil a passion I've always had - working in aviation and I was able to do that. I've worked at Gatwick for a number of years both on a Resilience Team and for the last couple of years as a Ramp Agent. I fly when I can (As a passenger) and still get excited about it! Meet Father and Son, John and Roy Diggory. John is a retired Pilot and Training Standards Captain, dutiful husband, proud father to three and hands-on grandad to six.​   "When Roy suggested writing this book together, I thought that it was a great opportunity to do something together and to share my passion and reassurance with those who find plane travel difficult. I have always loved flying, and I hope that my years of experience and insider knowledge can help others to really understand how safe it is to fly." Roy has spent his career working in behavioural science, coaching, training, change management and personal development. He is also a proud father to his three daughters. Despite his previous fear of flying, Roy loves to visit new places, and he has travelled to many parts of the world, for work and for fun. Roy also enjoys reading, writing, travel blogging, music, coaching and watching football, visiting theme parks and running (including several marathons). "The original book was going to be 'Third Time Lucky' as I am the third and luckiest Roy in the family. The two other Roys lost their lives in plane crashes.
