How Do We Set Our Mind On Peace When We’re Surrounded By Turmoil?
Merriam-Webster defines peace as freedom from civil disturbance and freedom from disquieting or oppressive thoughts and emotions. As we look around the world today, we can see that we have anything but peace–we have just the opposite–and yet in the midst of panic, in the midst of perilous times, the word of God offers us peace. We're going to spend a little bit of time talking today about the peace of God and how you can have it reign in your heart this holiday season and throughout the new year.

Family Devotions: The Easy Button
The percentage of families who are reading the Bible in their homes is dreadfully low, but we know it’s not because the desire is not there. It’s because we are intimidated, we think we’re not experts, we don’t know enough, we don’t have time to make the habit, you get the idea. There are plenty of excuses, but it is a matter of eternity that we start reading the Word with our children. Don’t miss my visit with my friend Glenn Ransom as he comes to share his easy button for family devotions with us. You’ll love it!

A Reason To Celebrate: Why Traditions Matter
A Reason To Celebrate: Why Traditions Matter The older we get, the quicker it seems like the time goes. And now that my kids are older, I am definitely seeing the fruit of what we had decided was important. Those years of family dinner and holiday traditions are now core memories and solid relationships for my children. In the chaos of our cultural holiday activities, it can be tempting to not follow through. But let’s talk about why it matters that we are intentional about developing traditions.

The Difficult, But Critical, Practice of Rest
Our bodies and souls are so desperate for rest, but some of us do this more easily than others. People who are Doers by nature, often Do something for rest, but I think that's not actually rest. It is out of an overflow that we serve others, so our impact is diminished when we don't take time for rest. (I'm just talking to myself today, so feel free to listen in!) The Lord talks about it in the Bible, Jesus practiced it as a man, and we need to commit to it as Christ followers. Let's talk about how to implement it.

My Christian Husband Hates Going To Church
This is a pretty common theme these days, and something we hear about regularly when we're on the road. Our men are under attack in our culture, and it's important that we remember that as we walk through this frustrating situation occurring in many homes today. While nagging is usually what we want to do, we can all agree that it's pretty ineffective. Let's talk about what we can do - men and women - to help turn the tide in our homes.

Our Hope Is Well Placed Only In The Lord
When we are enshrining the right to kill babies in one state, conservatives in another are compromising on early abortions, and the good guys didn't win very many elections yesterday, it can feel like the deep is just taking us under and we will never come back up for air. But He is working in many of His people who don't make the headlines, and this is where we need to focus to remember that we are not of this world and we are not supposed to feel comfortable here. Our hope is poorly placed in this world. Listen in and be encouraged friend, our hope is in the Lord.
