Anyone who has been a parent of a teen for ten minutes knows it can come with a whole lot of goodness, but also some tension, especially as we prepare to launch them. That brings a requirement that we give them opportunities to fail so they have a soft landing with us. Going to public school so they can play sports, getting a job at an early age, having a cell phone… all of these are opportunities for success or failure, and the answer isn’t the same for each child. The Biden family never ceases to disappoint us. At least now we see we’re not the only ones as a recent poll shows him even further underwater, likely because of his lack of border security, the state of our economy and his gaslighting us on it, and now his recent White House holiday shenanigans. | The country is tiring of being asked to tip every time we turn around, especially as rising prices (mainly due to $15 minimum wages) already strap our wallets. | The Pope blesses same-sex marriages. | But we don’t end there. None of this is out of the Lord’s hand, and we do not put our hope in any world leader. We trust in the Name of the Lord Our God, so we are encouraged! Hang around for Happy Hour. It can be really hard to hang in there toward the end of your homeschool career. Whether it’s one child or five, once we see the light at the end it can just be hard to finish well. Our children often ask to go to a traditional school, independent attitudes can show themselves, parenting differences appear as the kids get older, and frankly we can just get tired. If you find yourself in this position, it’s critical to revisit why you decided to homeschool in the first place. It can make all the difference! Two months ago, educators and Jewish leaders sounded the alarm on what they were calling an outbreak of anti-Semitism on our college campuses. And they spoke out against faculty and students who displayed what they called a complete lack of empathy following the Hamas terrorist attacks against Israel on the 7th of October. We saw just a few days ago on December 5th, a horrifying reality when some of our so-called elite university presidents at Harvard, MIT, and UPenn were questioned by Congress regarding their views on antisemitism. It today's "you can't make this stuff up," a pair of men who wish they were women won gold and silver in a female cycle race in Illinois a few days ago- and it's not the first time they have finished ahead of biological women. I have a suggestion—and I'd like to hear yours—but I think women should BOYCOTT any and all sports that allow delusional men to enter as women. What say you?
