Our society has sanitized abortion and minimizes it to just a procedure, never considering the heartbreak that follows for the woman who makes this choice - heartache that lasts a lifetime. It's often a hard call to make, especially when peer pressure creeps in, but there are some instances in which it is wise to shelter your children. Today I'm joined by a Christian Marriage and Family Therapist who is going to talk to us specifically about one of those situations.

We are certainly a media driven society. Whether it's tv, computers or ipods, our kids are surrounded by a barrage of content. But does it *really* matter what they watch? If we watch it together and talk through what they see or we're going to church and teaching them a lot about the Bible, is that enough? What about what all their friends are watching? Wise women make a choice to be "No Drama Mamas" in their relationships, and we're talking about some practical tips to do just that today!

Our children are involved every day in activities that can affect them for the long term. We can choose to worry about them, try to control it all ourselves or trust the God who made them and loves them more than we can possibly imagine. If you can learn to trust in God's timing for your children, you will trade your worry for the pleasure of a closer walk with Christ and be witness to the sovereignty of God in the lives of your children.

The season of child rearing brings joy and happiness, but it brings angst and uncertainty as well, because our culture is embracing and applauding many behaviors that we know are contrary to God's best for us. There is a well of wisdom available to us as we walk this road. Are you asking God for it?
