Romans 13 v The Rona Lockdowns: Obedient to a Higher Authority with Bill Jack

The church in the US is grappling with something it wasn’t ready for: a tyrannical government. We have heard pastors and religious leaders use Romans 13 as an excuse for closing and even for indifference to the suffering of their fellow Americans, as jobs and livelihoods have been lost due to unconstitutional lockdowns and irrational mandates. So what’s a Christian to do? Tune in as Bill Jack and I discuss this very important topic. **Find links and more under PODCASTS at HeidiStJohn.com**

Trusting God in Tough Times

In 2018, our family was going through a painful time. We were grieving the loss of a friendship while at the same time, struggling to keep what felt like fifteen balls in the air. One by one, the balls began to drop as night after night, I was awakened by thoughts of insecurity and stemming from the pain in my heart. I wanted the Lord to rescue me. Like David, I was weary. I needed God’s help to quiet my mind and spirit, so that I could rest and be restored. **Find links and more under PODCASTS at HeidiStJohn.com**

NO Compromise

Why is the church in such a weakened state today? In part, because of sin. The world will tempt you to compromise with sin.  It will offer you enough of Jesus to stay out of hell but not enough to walk in victory.  Stay on the path! Do not compromise with evil. The risk isn’t worth any moment of reward. God has victory for you as you walk in His ways. **Find links and more under PODCASTS at HeidiStJohn.com**

Tell the Truth—but be Prudent

Are you weary of the fight for truth? You’re not alone. Russian dissident Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn famously said “Live not by lies.” In a culture whose very foundation is being threatened by “soft” totalitarianism, it’s time to take a deeper look at the message he sent to the world. Value nothing more than truth. **Find links and more under PODCASTS at HeidiStJohn.com**

Hold Tightly to Truth

This is a very confusing time to shepherd children. Every day, I interact with parents who are struggling to navigate the turbulent waters of a culture in spiritual crisis. Five minutes on Facebook and you’re likely to see articles whose primary aim is to sow seeds of confusion and lies on everything from the dignity of human life to the basic truth of male and female. Parents are frontline warriors in the battle for truth—and our kids need us to stay engaged. **Find links and more under PODCASTS at HeidiStJohn.com**
