Welcome to episode 64 of the UKRunChat podcast. In this episode I speak with Lewis Ryan. Lewis is an ultra runner and came in the top 100 of UTMB in 2022 which was a great year for him.
Lewis also won 3 ultras including 2 course records and a marathon PB. All this training whilst working full time and building a new business called Brewser who sponsored our event the Shrewsbury Half Marathon with a beer for all participants.

Gary is a fundraiser and takes on some hefty challenges to raise money for his chosen charities which includes our charity partner Macmillan Cancer Support.
You may remember last year we spoke with Gary whilst he was completing 110 marathohns in 110 days as part of Macmillans 110 year anniversary.
Gary is coming close to completing a full year of daily marathons, 365 in 365. We recorded this last week and today he has completed day 347.

David Potach | Injury Prevention
David is a Physiotherapist and author of Sport Injury Prevention Anatomy. The book is a science-based overview of common sport injuries which contains exercise interventions to reduce injury risk.
He was a Strength and Conditioning Coach at Creighton University for several years, which afforded him the opportunity to work with not only high level intercollegiate athletes for all sports, but also professional and Olympic athletes.
He was honoured as one of the first recipients of the NSCA’s Sports Medicine Professional of the Year award (2005). National Strength and Conditioning Association which is a non profit organisation in the US which was founded in 1978.
