The James Altucher Show
James Altucher interviews the world's leading peak performers in every area of life. But instead of giving you the typical success story, James digs deeper to find the "Choose Yourself" story - these are the moments we relate to... when someone rises up from personal struggle to reinvent themselves. The James Altucher Show brings you into the lives of peak-performers: billionaires, best-selling authors, rappers, astronauts, athletes, comedians, actors, and the world champions in every field, all who forged their own paths, found financial freedom and harnessed the power to create more meaningful and fulfilling lives.

569 - 5 Ways TO Increase Your Persuasive Abilities AND Change Anyone's Mind with Wharton Professor Jonah Berger
Other than eating and breathing, persuasion is the most important skill you could have. Because a pre-skill to persuasion is the ability to understand yourself and other enough to create a chain reaction of changes in life. Persuasion is what sets us up to have agency in the world. And there's a specific, 5-step framework that lets you understand how to be more persuasive in your everyday life. So I'm having Jonah Berger on the show. He's a professor at Wharton, a bestselling author and now he has a new book, "The Catalyst: How to Change Anyone's Mind."

568 - You Don't Have to Be Qualified to Go After Your Dream with Dan Carlin Host of "Hardcore History"
Dan Carlin hosts the #1 history podcast, "Hardcore History." It has a cult following. For a lot of reasons: 1. Dan has an incredible voice. 2. his research is so weird and extensive and detailed. And 3. Dan is known for breaking rules. He went around the standard path. And decided that he didn't need to have a history degree or some pre-approved "credentials" to create the best history show out there. He just went ahead and did it. So I have him on today to find out how he gave himself permission to do what he loves. Despite all the reasons not to... So that we can give ourselves that same permission and start to do what we love. ?

567 - Coronavirus Economy Update: What’s Happening Right Now with Economist Tyler Cowen
People are starting to lose jobs. And gigs. And become uncertain. Uncertainty brings up fear. Which is a pandemic on its own. I keep saying, "Prepare. Don't Panic." And so do my guests. So today, I interview economist Tyler Cowen. I ask him about the stimulus package, the job market, inflation, deflation, supply and demand, what the world will look like if people keep losing work. How we can get back to work. When is it safe? Flattening the curve, and more.
And if you like this update, please let us know. So we can keep bringing you information that spreads peace. Over fear.
Thanks

566 - How to Show People You Appreciate Them for WHO They are with Lewis Howes
We could all use kindness all the time. But we need it now more than ever. I asked Lewis Howes for his advice. But we recorded this a few weeks back. Before the world's pandemic. I'm glad I'm releasing it now. Because it's the best time to remember how to love people. And then DO it.
And if you like this episode, make sure to check out Lewis' podcast, "The School of Greatness"
Also, I've been getting great feedback on how these episodes around the coronavirus are helping people make sense in a really confusing time. So thanks for your support.

565 - How Genetic Engineering and Today's Crisis Will Shape The Future with Jamie Metzl
Medicine is changing everyday. We're all seeing this unfold right now. In front of our eyes. Some of the changes seems unreal. So I called up the expert of genetic engineering, Jamie Metlz to tell us what's a reality and what's science fiction. I wanted to learn what immunities we can develop? How is the current pandemic reshaping the future of medicine? And beyond that we talk about our global responsibility to reshape society. A lot of people are going to lose their jobs. And a lot of people already have. So how do you find your way in this new world? What can we do to land on our feet when the dust settles?
I asked Jamie because he wasn't always a tech futurist or genomics expert. He started out as a writer. And switched careers because interest led him there. We have the opportunity to chase our interests now in a new way.
Also, I've been getting great feedback on how these episodes around the coronavirus are helping people make sense in a really confusing time. So thanks for your support.

564 - Coronavirus Update: How to Boost your Immunity in Times of Pandemic with Harvard Medical School Professor & Biologist David Sinclair
How do we know when something is wrong with us? I want to understand the testing process we have for COVID19. I want to understand "symptomatic" cases vs. "asymptomatic" cases. And who's data should we trust? So I called David Sinclair. He runs The Sinclair Lab at Harvard Medical School and is the New York Bestselling author of "Lifespan: Why We Age?and Why We Don't Have To."
I also want to know how do I build up my immune systems? What steps can I take RIGHT NOW? And how do I keep this going over time?
And what's going on with testing for COVID19? What are the numbers? And why are they off? David breaks this down. And he explains which coronavirus tests are bringing us into the future of science and biology. He'll also help you understand who's at risk (everyone). And how to protect yourself. AND how to protect others.
Because we're in this together.
Also, I've been getting great feedback on how these episodes around the coronavirus are helping people make sense in a really confusing time. So thanks for your support.

563 - The GOOD News About Coronavirus (Let's Look at the Data) with Peter Diamandis, XPRIZE Founder & Futurist
I saw this line "How about some good news for a change." It was the first line in an article by Peter Diamandis, Founder & Executive Chairman of XPRIZE. The article is on his website, diamandis.com and I highly recommend checking it out. I emailed him as soon as I saw it. "Come on my podcast." And he did the next day. Because the world needs good news right now that can help us see the end of this pandemic, the truth in the numbers, and data and how to protect ourselves without panic.
