In this episode Joey Brite and MrMenno take us down the wacky world of sexuality and same-sex attraction in a world gone trans. The distinction of what we are and who we are is central to our discussion. We examine topics like the gender-bending of drag, the undermining of women’s rights, and the shame we carry in our bodies. Political cartoonist and illustrator Stella Perrett speaks to her experience being made professionally notorious overnight after having been fired for a cartoon illustrating the fragile legislative rights of women and girls in the ever-changing gender climate. She was suddenly dropped from her job of five years only later to learn how various bureaucratic connections effectively blacklisted her from working elsewhere.   Stella shares her own story of growing up with gender dysphoria and notes how rapidly feminist circles have changed over the years. She connects the dots between difficult childhoods and the lack of support for children who are confused about their bodies and identities - a perfect storm for gender dysphoria, self-hatred and suicidality. Willow shares her story of transitioning at 17 and de-transitioning at 19. Her honesty about online influences, her motivation to transition as a way to connect with her father, and passing as male in public illuminates the complexities of her path away and back to her body.
