CC051: Schellenberg's Argument from Hiddenness - Justin Schieber, Blake Giunta, and others
In this Theist/Atheist Discussion, we're tackling the argument from Hiddenness again but this time with a new group. This discussion features atheists and hosts of the Real Atheoloy podcast Justin Schieber and Ben Watkins. The theists are Josh Parikh and Blake Giunta.
The formulation of the argument being discussed is Schellenberg's most recent formulation:
(1) If a perfectly loving God exists, then there exists a God who is always open to a personal relationship with any finite person.
(2) If there exists a God who is always open to a personal relationship with any finite person, then no finite person is ever nonresistantly in a state of nonbelief in relation to the proposition that God exists.
(3) If a perfectly loving God exists, then no finite person is ever nonresistantly in a state of nonbelief in relation to the proposition that God exists. (from 1, 2)
(4) Some finite persons are or have been nonresistantly in a state of nonbelief in relation to the proposition that God exists.
(5) No perfectly loving God exists. (from 3, 4)

CC049: The Euthyphro Dilemma - Matt Flannagan vs Jason Thibodeau
The Euthyphro Dilemma says that either God has reasons for his commands or He doesn’t. Take the second option. God has no reasons for His commands. Well then God’s commands are arbitrary–however, morality can’t be arbitrary. Now take the first option. God has reasons for His commands. Well then these reasons themselves are sufficient to give us moral obligations. No need for God. The Euthyphro Dilemma is meant to show that grounding morality in God is misguided. Jason argues that the Euthyphro Dilemma is sound, Matt argues it is not.

CC047: Answering 5 Big Objections to Christianity with Dr. Jerry Walls
From the Big Bang to Homosexuality to the Problem of Evil, in this interview, Dr. Jerry Walls and I answer some of the hottest objections to Christianity. We couldn't cover everything, so we limited the objections to 5 of the most common we see and hear from culture. They aren't difficult; however, they are the kind of questions that ordinary church people need to really reflect on and think about. Here they are for reference:
1. Evolution/Big Bang proves that Christianity is false. (6:30)
2. People believe in God because of wish fulfillment. (12:50)
3. The Bible seems like it was written by a bunch of uninformed peasants with no scientific knowledge at all. Why should we think that it’s reliable? (17:29)
4. Christianity is against gay people. (22:05)
5. Why do bad things happen to good people? (28:34)

CC045: Tyler McNabb Interview (Full)
Tyler McNabb is an Assistant Professor of Philosophy (Humanities) at Houston Baptist University. His specialization is in epistemology and philosophy of religion. In combining these two topics, his current focus has been on defending both proper functionalism and the project of Reformed Epistemology. In addition to his research, he also enjoys teaching, reading theology, witnessing, watching The Walking Dead, and eating Mexican food.
Part 1 provides a bit of background information about Tyler and then goes into the intricacies of Reformed Epistemology.
In Part 2 we discuss the Evolutionary Argument Against Naturalism. Tyler articulates a new version of the argument that avoids a number of objections
In Part 3 we discuss an abductive version of the moral argument. We touch on a wide number of subjects rather quickly and succinctly. Buckle up!
