Working across painting, video, and sculpture, Nir Hod explores narcissism, beauty mixed with sadness, controversy, death, and providing irony to the forbidden subjects with a sense of humor. Hod is currently exhibiting his collection entitled “Exile” until April 22nd 2022 at Gavlak Gallery in West Palm Beach, Fl; with upcoming exhibits in Tokyo and Los Angeles, CA.

Stephen Wozniak interviews seasoned New York-based curator, writer and artist Dan Cameron on the April 20, 2022 episode of Art World: The Whitehot Magazine of Contemporary Art podcast. They discuss Dan’s critical early New Museum of Contemporary Art exhibition, Extended Sensibilities, about gay and lesbian identity, his senior curatorship at the Orange County Museum of Art and his work as a writer of monographs and catalog essays on such important contemporary artists as Nicole Eiseneman, Peter Saul, David Wojnarowicz, Faith Ringgold, Carolee Schneemann, William Kentridge, Peter Saul and Paul McCarthy. Noah’s guest host is celebrated author Phoebe Hoban who interviews artist Richard Pasquarelli about his solo exhibition, As It Should Be, at BravinLee Programs, NYC running from April 14th through May 14th, 2022. Richard Pasquarelli’s paintings make visible the relationships between physical reality and the mind. Through analysis of his own compulsions for perfection and order, and research into mental health, the physical sciences, and philosophy, Pasquarelli seeks a better understanding of the relationship between mind and matter and its observable presence in the world around us. Phoebe Hoban is a world famous writer and critic, author of numerous books and article on artists such as Alice Neel and Jean-Michel Basquiat.

Silver Art Projects invited its first artist cohort into the World Trade Center in 2020, during a time when artists needed support more than ever. The inaugural cohort comprised a dynamic group of artists working across a variety of media—from oil painting and digital art to sculpture and design. Members of the 2021 cohort will be guided through their residencies by three renowned artists and Mentors- in-Residence, Hank Willis Thomas/ For Freedoms, Tourmaline, and Chella Man, who will occupy studios alongside the cohort, as well as lead a robust program of 24 workshops designed to further residents’ practices and professional development. The overarching goal of the 2021 Mentor-in-Residence program is to amplify diverse perspectives and foster artistic practices embedded in activism. The 2021 Selection Committee comprises a diverse and accomplished jury of six art world professionals who share a vested interest in elevating socially minded creative practices and art activism: the three mentors-in-residence, artists Hank Willis Thomas, Tourmaline, and Chella Man; Hall Rockefeller.

His works have been exhibited in the Bradbury Art Museum, Cameron Art Museum, Leo Castelli Gallery at Brenau University, Cape Cod Museum of Art, Moses Lake Museum, Il Museo Colle del Duomo and Lincoln Center, among others. He and his work have been featured in such publications as Whitehot Magazine of Contemporary Art, Art of the Times and Artiholics Magazine. He is also an author on the arts and co-hosted the performing arts weekly series Center Stage on KXLU radio. Stephen was born in Dover, New Hampshire and raised in the Washington, D.C. area. He earned a B.F.A. from Maryland Institute College of Art, as well as attended Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland.
