Better call Saul

Economist Saul Eslake's report into state finances, which was commissioned as part of the now defunct Lambie Network deal, has found the state's budget is in a terrible state. Eslake recommends increasing taxes on working Tasmanians and small businesses. Becher, Brad and Jack Milroy don't agree on the solution but they do agree that Saul's assessment can't be ignored. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Heads must roll

Becher is back from Ireland and is not surprised that the TT Line debacle is still the big story in the local media. Brad declares heads must roll over slow moving train wreck.  Incidentally, he feels much the same about the Tasmanian community fund's decision to give $500K to the "yes" campaign in the federal government's failed Voice Referendum which was excoriated by the Auditor General.  Font PR Partners Becher Townshend and Brad Stansfield are joined by The Mercury's political editor David Killick in this episode of FontCast.
