Presidents Day
Dennis decries another shopping holiday in lieu of Washington and Lincoln’s birthday. A previous generation knew the birthdays of those two great men by heart. No longer… The lack of patriotism in the country is not a plus; it’s a big minus. The President made a surprise trip to Kiev as a show of support. Dennis agrees that we should back Ukraine against Russian aggression, but many conservatives do not. The right is deeply split on this issue. In Culver City, CA, a group of parents stepped to the lectern Tuesday night at a school board meeting in this middle-class, Los Angeles-area city to push back against a racial- equity initiative. The high school, they argued, should reinstate honors English classes that were eliminated because they didn’t enroll enough Black and Latino students. Dennis & Julie: Free Will
Dennis and Julie delve into our natures. Dennis believes that we have two natures… our universal human nature and our own nature. What nature were you born with? Can you change your nature? What do you do with the hand you are dealt? Free will and self-control can coexist. Fame is fleeting but a great majority seek it. Habits can change your nature… good or bad. Do women need maternal figures like men need paternal figures? Topics include: men versus women with respect to insecurities about their looks; It is difficult to be human whether you are a man or woman; suicide rates in men versus women; being reflective versus being self-critical.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Gun Control
If you want to impose “common sense” gun control, how do you intend to achieve it? And how you will achieve it while at the same time protecting the rights of American citizens… Why are people leaving California? The state has the best weather in the world, majestic mountains, and legendary beaches. Could it be high taxes, high crime, and crumbling infrastructure? How does your nature affect your happiness? Can you be born happy? Can you be born unhappy? What impact does your environment have on your nature? Can you overcome your nature to be happy? These are not easy questions. Dennis tackles them head on. Issues raised include: liberals want to feel good while conservatives want to do good, Ted Nugent quoted you on the radio; I homeschooled both my kids through high school, homeschooling does not save your kids from transgenderism; I’m a black conservative could you do a poll on how many black conservatives listen to you; I had polio and over the years I found myself not being a victim. Thanks for listening to the Daily Dennis Prager Podcast. Shared Scripture
Dennis has a new insight. Judaism and Christianity are the only religions who share a holy book. That book is the Hebrew Bible or Old Testament. Without that book the New Testament isn’t possible. Callers weigh in. We often hear politicians say we have more in common than we have differences. Is it true or is it just pablum? Dennis has thoughts. So do callers. Dennis talks to Spencer Klavan, an editor at the Claremont Institute, He has written for The Atlantic, City Journal, the Claremont Review of Books, and many others. His new book is How to Save the West: Ancient Wisdom for 5 Modern Crises. Thanks for listening to the Daily Dennis Prager Podcast. Bad Gas
Small business is being driven to the wall by high energy prices. A Chinese restaurant in Los Angeles provides a perfect example… The Washington Post describes Drag Queen Story Hour as a social service… Are blacks subject to racism every day? Dennis reacts to a column in the NY Times entitled “Have More Sex.” His focus is not on the column, but on the comments to it. Apparently, young men and women are further apart than any time in recent memory. Yale Council wants white students to prostrate themselves before black students to honor Black History month. Is this a parody? It’s very hard to tell these days… Dennis talks to Peter Schwartz, a Jan 6 political prisoner…Dennis talks to Phil Kerpen, President of American Commitment, a new grassroots conservative organization. Lockdowns Bad
The German minister, a doctor, who strongly advocated for harsh lockdowns admits he made a mistake. Are we supposed to forgive and forget?... Dennis talks to Ashley Rindsberg, investigative journalist. He writes for a variety of publications including The Spectator and Tablet. The CDC has released a hysterical report that teen girls are in terrible shape. It’s easy to believe that teens are more depressed than ever (thanks to the CDC lockdown), but the speculation about “forced sex” appear to be based on flimsy data. Dennis talks to Yeonmi Park, North Korean defector and human rights activist. Her new book is While Time Remains: A North Korean Defector's Search for Freedom in America. Super Bowl Sunday
Dennis watched the entire game and enjoyed every minute of it… Why did the NFL need to offer the “Black National Anthem?”... Dennis talks to Will Held, executive director of Consumers’ Research. The topic is ESG. Heather Mac Donald describes how the Metropolitan Museum of Art has gone full woke and has thus signed its own death warrant. It’s not a museum, it’s just another indoctrination center. The left destroys everything it touches. Dennis talks to Seth Dillon, CEO of The Babylon Bee, More “spy balloons” were shot down over the weekend in US airspace. Who is sending them? Are they all from China? Why don’t we know?… A woman is murdered in Oakland, but her family and friends don’t want the perps arrested or prosecuted… Thanks for listening to the Daily Dennis Prager Podcast. Dennis & Julie: Getting High on Life
Dennis and Julie delve into when Dennis’ son was getting sober… his greatest fear was that he wouldn’t be able to have fun sober. What comes to us naturally is assumed that it comes to everyone naturally. Hobbies are sober fun. Has social media caused a lack of non-digital hobbies in younger generations… is it the amount of homework, or the lack there of? Is the “deadening” of younger generations because of marijuana… is it because of the shift in society towards secularism away from religion? Friends can be a great source of sober fun… do you have “close” friends? Men are more likely to abuse illicit drugs or alcohol than women. Men are messy. Is working with men better than working with women?See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

ASU Review
Dennis describes his experience at ASU on Wednesday… A leftist professor at the U. of London writes a new history of the Holocaust and knows nothing about real evil… The government is getting more and more involved in suppressing conservative speech. They’re doing it by funding leftist organizations, some profit, some non-profit. Can you have fun without some sort of artificial stimulation? The answer, of course, is yes. But it's not as obvious as you might think. Issues raised include: the difference between kill and murder in the Ten Commandments; reparations are the new wave of woke assaults, he feels he is being censored by his local newspaper; Prager U should have veteran story hour in libraries; my daughter’s fiancé asked her to marry him after listening to your male female hour on marriage; you are incorrect about when you say you are the top 80 percent of your class; why is “you shall work six days a week” not part of the Ten Commandments? Thanks for listening to the Daily Dennis Prager Podcast. Bigger and Bigger
Mark Davis guest hosts for Dennis… Mark offers his take on Biden’s State of the Union… Is heckling now going to be a feature of the SOU?… The era of big government is back — as long as the Democrats are in charge. Mark Davis guest hosts for Dennis… When Donald Trump attacks Ron DeSantis he shows us the petty side of his character. It’s not a good presidential look. But Trump is who he is and anyone who counts him out as the Republican nominee in 2024 is making a mistake. Mark Davis guest hosts for Dennis… Speculation is already running rampant: who will be the Republican nominee for 2024. Callers have ideas. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
