New York City lowered its educational standards and then celebrated when students scored much better this year than last year.  But their “improved performance” is phony. Leftist student groups reflexively signed on to condemning Israel and praising Hamas. But when they were roundly condemned, especially by alumni, many backed down. “Oh, we didn’t really mean it.”…Israelis were lulled into complacency because they believed Gazans wanted a better life.
