There's a true rock and roll legend entering You're Booked Towers this week and we couldn't be happier. Kid Congo Powers has played in such beloved bands as The Cramps, The Gun Club, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds and his own Pink Monkey Birds. His astonishing new memoir Some New Kind of Kick talks about growing up queer and Mexican-American in 1970s, the glam rock and punk rock scenes, music, addiction, fandom, tragedy and fun.
