The New Adam and Priest King

In this third episode in our series through Samuel, Brian Verrett finishes looking back to Genesis. Picking up from our previous podcast, we learn that the Pentateuch does more than just present Adam as a priest, a king, and a failure. The Pentateuch also anticipates that the promised seed of the woman will be a final Adam who will fix what Adam's sin broke. Because of this anticipation in the Pentateuch and other books, 1-2 Samuel hopes for a new Adam and a priest-king who will defeat the serpent.
