Blocked Party
Stefan Heck & John Cullen
This was a show about being blocked on the internet from Stefan Heck and John Cullen. However, the internet is dead, and so are we. This main feed will remain active so you can listen all of our past episodes, and we will occasionally post something from the bonus feed for free for you to enjoy. We are still doing bonus episodes over on at patreon.com/blockedparty. We'll see ya there!

Episode 102: Carla Mah v. Men on the Internet
Carla Mah (improviser) joins us to talk about the unique and strange experience of being an Asian woman online, and how it leads to many blocks, almost all for the same reason. It's a spooky episode as we recorded mere hours from Halloween and we get into the once-in-73 years full moon on Halloween, and the rare "blue moon" phenomenon as well. The BBs are clearly affected by this blue moon, as John and Stefan get particularly feisty a few times this episode as we argue about fistfight strategies, movies, and Halloween candy. We also find time to go in on cheese fountains, Tyra Banks, Kim Kardashian, and Stefan gets John a birthday present. If you want to give yourself a present, you can donate to the show at https://patreon.com/blockedparty, where $5/month gets you access to THREE bonus episodes every single month. We just posted the third episode of Blocked Party D&D, where Jamie Loftus and Branson Reese join us on a wild adventure, and it gets hairy this month as we finally get into some combat. We also did a fun look back at our first 100 episodes of the show, and drank the dreaded Canada Juice. Plus, you'll get our whole back catalogue, access to our Discord, AND access to our live shows. So don't hesitate to get in on this sweet action! Carla Mah is an improviser and streamer from Vancouver, BC. She can be found on Twitter and Instagram at @Carmahdee and on Twitch at https://twitch.tv/carmahdee. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Episode 101: Mack Gordon v. Blues Traveler
It took 101 episodes, but Mack Gordon (actor) helps us get to one of the most notorious name-searchers on all of the Twitter [dot] com (who will absolutely block us once he finds this episode title), John Popper of Blues Traveler. He's such an easy block to catch that we have multiple Listener Blocks this week too! It's a 3-for-1! And it's all downhill from here as we contemplate life after episode 100 and it leads to a lot of memories of childhood food, as Mack reveals the weird foods he ate as a kid amidst tales of local haunts we loved and the "pey wet" viral video. Finally, the Blocked Boys also find some time to get into the death of Quibi, Stefan gets a new phone and some new soccer jerseys, and John leans into a week of Miley Cyrus takes. If you want some new stuff too, you can head on over to https://patreon.com/blockedparty, where we are going wild for bonus content this month that you can't get anywhere else. Last week, we posted our BPTV: CanCon episode with Jesse and Mike and followed that up with the video of John and Stefan drinking the nasty Canada Juice. This week, it's a special clips episode where the Blocked Boys remember the finer moments of the first 100 episodes with a ton of new commentary from the boys themselves, and you'll enjoy episode 3 of BPD&D with Branson Reese and Jamie Loftus. You won't want to miss any of it! Mack Gordon is an actor who splits his time between Chicago and Vancouver, and his company, Theatre in the Dark, is currently performing a radio play based on H.G. Wells' War of the Worlds. Tickets can be purchased at https://www.theatreinthedark.com. Mack can be followed on Twitter at @MackGord. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Episode 100: A Celebration!
We made it! We couldn't think of a better way to celebrate a century of Blocked Party episodes than by bringing a bunch of our favourite people on to PARTY (get it?) with us, and boy did we get spoiled! First things first, the Blocked Boys get absolutely jacked on the sugar-intense Canada Juice and we feel the rush with Cait Raft (comedian, Hot and Rich) as we talk about Stefan's new VR game idea and shitting his pants. Then, we're joined by Chris Locke (comedian, Happy Good) for an absolutely wild update on his life, as we learn that he was involved in a pretty crazy incident as a child that's affected him in a very surprising and positive way. From there, it's Adam Christie (comedian) time, as we dig into our social media updates and learn how two girls' opinions on fruit snacks have converted Adam to Christianity, and John finally gets a dunk in on Stefan. And you know that we couldn't do a Block Tale without one of Twitter's finest pests, with Chris James joining us to give us the full story on how he's been blocked by Seb Gorka two different times and to give us a positive update, an "Anti-Block Tale", if you will, with Ken Marino. And it's Episode 100, so we couldn't just leave you with a single top 3, no, we brought in two guests for two very different Top 3s. First, we're joined by Racquel Belmonte (improviser, Dragon Prince) for another of our horniest top 3s ever, and then Becca joins us to close things out with a very on-brand top 3 for the Blocked Boys, a way of reminiscing that only we could be capable of. And make sure to stay all the way to the end of the episode for a special surprise. If you want even more special surprises, why not donate to the show in honour of 100 episodes over at https://patreon.com/blockedparty, where $5/month gets you access to THREE bonus episodes every month. We've been a bit late on bonus content this month, so we are releasing FOUR episodes in the next two weeks, including the making and drinking of the aforementioned Canada Juice, CanCon Live! with Jesse and Mike from YKS, our third instalment of BPD&D with Branson Reese and Jamie Loftus, AND John and Stefan are going to relive some of the show's best moments in an episode we're calling "100 Episodes, 100 Memories". We probably won't remember 100 things, because we're dumb. But anyway, support the show! We love you. Episode 99: Maddy Kelly v. A Special Reply Guy
Maddy Kelly (comedian) joins the show to tell us about a very unique "reply guy" situation, where she replies back and he isn't quite sure how to handle it. Maddy offers a lot of other great advice on this episode, like how to properly manage your Instagram, how to slide into her DMs, how to go viral on TikTok, and how to order at McDonald's if you're a hot girl. Elsewhere, the Blocked Boys reveal their usual amount of knowledge (very little) as we discuss hot mascots, monocles, manicured lawns, Putt-Putt games, mayors in Korn masks, and the Poplitics girl getting diagnosed with COVID. And hey! It's the Centennial Celebration Month here at BP, and we are celebrating our 100th episode in style, as we've got FOUR bonus episodes coming your way at https://patreon.com/blockedparty. This month, we are gonna drink that vile Canada Juice, Stefan and John are gonna reminisce about 100 episodes of the show, we're gonna have our third instalment of BPD&D, and the YKS Boys are gonna join us for a BPTV episode where we get them to take a look at a bunch of CanCon. You won't wanna miss it, and you can access it all for $5/month over on our Patreon! And if you want some more comedy content, John's new album, "Long Stories for No Reason", is out THIS FRIDAY! October 16th. Mark your calendars, it's gonna be a good time and it'll be available everywhere you get your music and comedy. Maddy Kelly is a comedian from Vancouver, BC who just got Twitter during quarantine and would love for you to follow her at @MaddyKells69. You can also follow her on Instagram (now that you have the knowledge of what to do) at @MaddyKells. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Episode 98: Cole Hersch v. Tobey Maguire
Cole Hersch (writer, Podcast But Outside) joins the show with one of the earliest-in-life Block Tales we've had, as he got blocked by Spider-Man himself, Tobey Maguire, on AOL Instant Messenger when he was 11. It's a saga with many twists and turns and leaves us with a mystery that will need some experts to solve. The rest of the show leaves no mystery though, as the Blocked Boys are eager to shake off their good behaviour from last week and it gets wild early and often. The BBs start with some more Shark Tank/Dragons Den talk as Stefan pitches a new hangover cure and Cole pitches a new version of the show entirely, and that leads to a discussion of new condoms for different body parts. Cole then tells us the story of how he went viral pitching a new mascot to Saddleback College, John gets introduced to a cursed TikTok, and Stefan's social media update gets so intense it leads to a very special surprise at the end of the episode you won't wanna miss. If you want more fun surprises, you can head on over to https://patreon.com/blockedparty, where $5/month gets you access to THREE bonus episodes every month. Of course, this is the Blocked Party Centennial Celebration Month and we are going all out. John and Stefan are going to finally make and drink the cursed Canada Juice, we are going to have Jesse and Mike on for a LIVE BPTV episode with exclusively Can(adian)Con(tent), and our D&D series with Branson Reese and Jamie Loftus continues! We have some other fun surprises planned for the month you won't wanna miss so check it out! And hey, John's new full-length comedy album, "Long Stories for No Reason" is out next Friday, October 16th on Comedy Records. Look for it on Spotify, Apple Music, or anywhere else you get your music. Cole Hersch is a writer and podcaster who lives in Los Angeles, where he records his podcast, Podcast But Outside, featuring random people he finds on the street. Episode 97: Jemele Hill v. Travis Tritt
Who knew the Kentucky Derby VIP section could be a source of consternation? We learn just how, as Jemele Hill (The Atlantic, Jemele Hill is Unbothered) tells us the story of her positive meeting with country star Travis Tritt over mint juleps and how it didn't seem to matter to him later on, as he blocked Jemele for having opposing political views (we think). Speaking of politics, this episode doesn't shy away, as we get into what the mentions of someone with 1.3 million followers looks like, how Trump's divisiveness has affected social media, and how the goalposts for how a President should act are constantly shifting. But hey, we're the Blocked Boys and we also find time for silly stuff like Doritos, 2009 Twitter, old class photos, and we dig into Vancouver's Da Vinky Twins. If you want to dig into some more Vancouver content, you can do so by donating to Vancouver's own at http://patreon.com/blockedparty, where $5/month gets you access to THREE bonus episodes every month. This month was a doozy as we released the second edition of BP D&D with Jamie Loftus and Branson Reese, we did another all-Cameo bonus episode with Taylor Lorenz, and a great mailbag with Lydia Burrell. Plus, we've got our Centennial Celebration coming up next month with tons of sweet bonus goodies coming your way, so don't delay! You'll also get access to our entire back catalogue and our super sweet Discord server, one of the best deals in podcasting, baby! Jemele Hill is a writer and TV personality who currently contributes to The Atlantic and hosts a Spotify-exclusive podcast, "Jemele Hill is Unbothered". Her new show, "Cari & Jemele Stick To Sports" is now airing on VICE TV on Wednesdays at 10 pm, and she can be followed on Twitter at @JemeleHill. Learn more about your ad choices. Episode 96: Sarah Ramos & Caroline Goldfarb v. Jonathan "Foodgod" Cheban
It's only the second time ever that the BP Studios have been graced with two guests on one main episode, but it's a special occasion as we have Sarah Ramos (actor, filmmaker) and Caroline Goldfarb (comedian, writer) join us to tell us all about their new show, The Renner Files, and their block by the man who is famous for being friends with Kim Kardashian. It's a shameless Block Tale that will go down in the annals of show history as one of the best, and this episode is one of the best too, an "all-timer" in Stefan's words, as the Blocked Boys talk Peep This Out facemasks, getting old, and we learn more about how Stefan ended Jeremy Renner's vanity app. Plus, we get into the very upsetting RBG tributes, fizzy drinks, wet eggs in a bag, and Becca gets her very own theme song. Speaking of theme songs, our bonus episodes have some pretty amazing ones, and you can hear them (and the episodes) at https://patreon.com/blockedparty, where $5/month gets you access to THREE bonus episodes every month. Last week, we released our latest edition of Word Up! with Taylor Lorenz, where we delve into the world of TikTok Cameos, and this week, we have the continuation of our BPD&D series, as Branson Reese and Jamie Loftus join us for a wonderful adventure in a mythical city. Plus, that $5 gets you access to our top-secret Discord server, all of our back catalogue of bonus episodes, and celebrations next month for our 100th episode that you won't wanna miss. Sarah Ramos is an actor and filmmaker who can be followed on Twitter at @SarahRamos and on Instagram at @SarahERamos. Caroline Goldfarb is a comedian and writer who you can find on Twitter at @hairoline and on Instagram at @OfficialSeanPenn. Together, they host The Renner Files, a six-part podcast about the Jeremy Renner app that launches this Thursday, September 24th. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Episode 95: Jack Allison v. Hoarse Wisperer
It's here. The most requested Block Tale in the history of the show is finally here, as Jack Allison (JackAM, Struggle Session) joins the Blocked Boys to talk about the Hoarse Wisperer saga. We get all the gritty details from their initial dealings with each other to Jack finding out the anonymous centrist horse's real identity to the epic conclusion, where Jack raises $125k for Bernie Sanders under the guise of Mr. HW and then trademarks the Hoarse Wisperer title, forcing him to swap his Twitter handle. It's an online story for the ages and one built for this program, 95 episodes young. And we don't stop there, as we find time to talk about Denis Leary's Pumpkin Spice tweet, the Chris Evans mishap, John getting DMCA'ed, Jack impersonating a high school quarterback, and Stefan pays John $140 to watch a Badlands Chugs video. If you also like paying for the content you're dying to hear, you can head on over to https://patreon.com/blockedparty, where $5/month gets you access to THREE bonus episodes every single month. We just released a mailbag with fan fave Lydia Burrell this past week, and this week, we'll have the video from our live show with Taylor Lorenz, where she introduces us to the world of TikTok on Cameo, and it's...very bad. Plus, we've got Episode 2 of BPD&D coming up later this month, and our Centennial Celebration happens in October too! You won't wanna miss out. Episode 94: Brian Gaar v. Chuck Woolery
Brian Gaar (comedian) joins the show to talk about getting blocked by America's favorite game show host over his "pain-free catheter" line of products, and this episode delves into other pain as we chat about Producer Dan's illness. But it's not all pain and sadness as we go back in on one of our favorite targets, Frank D'Angelo, and we learn about Nick Cannon's line of headphones. Plus, the C-List celebrity dunks don't stop there, as we find time for Chet Hanks and Jim Davis amidst talk of awful Chadwick Boseman tributes and the Donald Trump boat parade. If you want to be in a much better parade, you can join all of the greats over at https://patreon.com/blockedparty, where $5/month gets you access to THREE wonderful bonus episodes every month. This week, we'll have a mailbag from our friend Lydia Burrell for you to enjoy, plus we're going live again, this time with Taylor Lorenz, as we watch some horrid celebrity Cameos. And we'll see the second episode of BPD&D, where our friends Jamie Loftus and Branson Reese join us for a game of Dungeons & Dragons. It's all happening now and you don't wanna miss out! Episode 93: Becca v. A Married Guy
The time has come. A guest that has been requested for many moons (both hexed and not), John's partner Becca (writer) joins the show to get into it with the Blocked Boys about the time a married guy got aggressive with her in the DM. The BBs don't waste time getting aggressive elsewhere on the show, as the familiarity they have with Becca leads to some intimate conversations about body hair, pets, our parents, and the first time we touched ourselves. We also learn a lot about open mic comedians, John singing Alanis Morissette, and Producer Dan's infamous encounter with Vancouver's auspicious Uber Eats-only restaurant, Brick 'N' Cheese. If you want to have an infamous encounter with us, you're very likely to do so over on our Patreon at https://patreon.com/blockedparty, where $5/month gets you access to THREE exclusive bonus episodes every single month. This past week, we officially launched BPD&D, the series where Stefan and John play Dungeons and Dragons with Branson Reese, Jamie Loftus, and Joshua Buergel, with hilarious results. It's the start of a 4-month series, and if you donate today (August 31st), you'll be entered into a draw for a free BP T-Shirt. So don't miss out! The back catalogue is extensive and the bonus episodes are great. Plus, in September, Stefan and John will finally drink the cursed Canada Juice in a video bonus that will have to be seen to be believed. Becca has written for the Blocked Party Guest Letters (found on our Patreon) and she can be followed on Twitter and Instagram at @BeckTheGirl. Learn more about your ad choices.
