Hello From The Magic Tavern

Kevin Sciretta, a Chicago-based improviser and Improvised Shakespeare Company performer, returns as the flamboyant Dripfang LeDesparé. At the royal court, Dripfang demands his own noble House, touting villainous allies, questionable credentials, and grand plans. Negotiations involve necromancy, royal coins, Bebo, and an unusually hostile path to gentry status.

Vaden Todd Lewis, Toadies frontman and “Possum Kingdom” singer, arrives as a bizarrely bald Sasquatch. He shares his origin story, explains the Forest of the 90s under King Cobain, and discusses flannel, failed romance, bossy hounds, and magical catchphrases. Along the way: toe hair, hair smocks, Bigfoot confusion, and the legendary Rachel haircut.

Arnie fears his royal duties have turned the trio into mere work friends, so they trade tours of their bizarre castle quarters. Usidore reveals a bird-shit laboratory, Chunt unveils worm drama and magical seeds that grow confused horses, and Arnie dreams up adjoining rooms to reunite them. Along the way: royal marriage politics, possible courtship, moon plans, and the mysterious power of a three-pat gesture.

Mike O’Brien, comedian, writer, actor, and former Saturday Night Live player, plays Vespa, an interplanetary prison-camp zapper. He describes endless rock-breaking, shock-based workplace perks, barred dorms, violent coworkers, and resentful slug rulers. The conversation veers into romantic confusion, fake deaths, crocodile anatomy, strip poker, and Vespa’s disastrous first encounter with music.

Gianmarco Soresi, a comedian, actor, writer, and podcaster, plays Nicolo Pastasmith, a desperate pasta heir seeking work as a knight. He recounts a childhood shaped by adultery, family chaos, and horseback pasta deliveries. A hilariously doomed combat audition leads to erotic family portraits, an unexpected artistic calling, and a new position at court.

Lord Draeven of House Dreadmoor, an ashen advisor with a necromantic pedigree portrayed by Robbie Daymond. He arrives damp and dour with a glowing ruby eye. The conversation covers his dark family background, practical (and blunt) counsel for kingdom problems, surprising dating advice, and theatrical court politics leading to a dramatic banishment.

They discover a mysterious board game and decide to open it and play. Rules are read by a prerecorded narrator while dice rolls and strange tokens wreak havoc. The game begins to pull them into its world where they meet bizarre inhabitants like Kunky and explore surreal environments. They narrowly escape and debate whether to play again.
