Ordinal Theory Explained: Satoshi Serial Numbers and NFTs on Bitcoin
In this episode we dive into… ordinals! Ordinal numbers are serial numbers for satoshi. Every satoshi, which is ¹⁄₁₀₀₀₀₀₀₀₀ of a bitcoin, has an ordinal, and every ordinal has a satoshi. Ordinals are Casey's somewhat crazed project to bring collectable sats, and eventually, digital art and NFTs, to Bitcoin. Strap in, because it's a bewildering ride through a sat bazaar, redolent with the smell of rare and exotic ordinals.
For an intro to ordinal theory, check out this blog post: https://rodarmor.com/blog/ordinal-theory/

- Why a community college micro economics course taught by a retired Shell oil exec (shout out to V. Lee Prescott!) had a lasting impact on Casey's world view.
